"The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing."
-Socrates

Enterprise ship form

"So Y/N... I suspect you have a good reason to pull me away from my... duties."

"Your wunderwaffes can wait, my dear Avrora. Come, take a look at this."

His retort made Avrora blush in embarrassment inside Y/N's quarters onboard Enterprise's ship form after getting memed by Avrora. From the computer on his desk, he observed the different points of view of the battle of the south sea. A massive ship to ship battle of hundreds of ships that was never seen since Leyte Gulf.

"I know all about those conceited empires, Y/N."

Despite the news, Avrora turned him down with confidence in their power.

"We've all read the history books a hundred ti-"

Y/N immediately cut her off and grasped her shoulder and started lecturing her sternly.

"You've seen nothing. Battling against swords, magic, and gunpowder is one thing, unleashing the relentless destruction of modern warfare with the possibility of nukes on their end is another."

Y/N made a gesture pointing at both his eyes as he continued.

"You must go into these with both eyes open. Once started, there's no turning back. To be honest... I don't want you or the rest to be involved."

His eyes looked towards the recording of the conclusion of the naval battle. Destroyers can be seen attempting to rescue the survivors, only to be attacked after getting pulled out of the water.

"Are you prepared to go all the way with these, Avrora?"

Time seemed to slow as Avrora looks into Y/N's concerned eyes. Her head hanging down after remembering their past history. From the first world war where it started out with rifles and horses and ending with tanks and automatic weapons; And from the different ways of thinking and perspectives during the interwar period which subsequently led to the second world war and the cold war and how it shaped their world they once lived today.

Y/N wanted her to stay away from this conflict and she was happy with that fact but just like her decision back at the old world, she wanted to go alongside Y/N until the end.

After finishing her recollection, she answered quietly. Trembling while gripping his hands with hers.

"Yes... yes... I'm prepared to go all the way, Y/N."

"Very well..."

As they stare into each other's eyes, they couldn't help but be mesmerized from their respective gazes. Y/N's cold and calculating E/C eyes that still showed warmth and Avrora's adventurous but deathly royal violet eyes; until they could no longer suppress their desire and made a passionate kiss to truly express their love that was remained hidden for a long time until their arrival. A love that was to remain unrequited to both due to their position until all shackles were released.

They both decided to stop after almost a minute before things proceeded to the point of no return. They both weren't ready to bear the responsibility. Ironic. They can bear the responsibility of a 1944 Soviet sized armed forces but not the sacred act between man and woman.
