The new Patriarch, Faringdard, took a step at the luxurious observation room at the tip of the pyramid-shaped temple where the council carries out their administrative duties. Unfortunately, it didn't have the luxury of taking a fresh breath of air, which was understandable to prevent assassinations.

Nevertheless, regardless if they can, it didn't matter now that all he saw around him was death and devastation. Never in their history have Pretani experienced such destruction ever since the demon invasion many years ago. It was understandable if it were demons, but for humans to be the cause was utter humiliation that will never go unanswered.

Thousands of his kind fell from the single strike. Their infrastructure, trade, and half of their ships were all destroyed. The clouds began to darken and the temperature lowers each passing day. It disgusts him that such beings should be treated as equals, so he did what he must.

He killed the Secretary-General... or so that's what he thought. Everything was supposed to be perfect. Once he took control of Hilda after seizing the initiative, he struck the sacred sword to his heart. After, he was going to turn it against the abomination that he controlled, only for him to lose control after she experienced an emotional shock.

The Deputy Secretary-General professionally berate and shunned him. Their trade in the Southern Region and Jomon took a severe blow by then. Although they can still profit in the North, it wasn't what it was supposed to be.

Much worse, the Secretary-General miraculously survived and now wields the sacred sword as his own. It was much worse than humiliation for him, it was a desecration of his entire being, the one who rules Pretani.

They vied for revenge. The attack they call 'Fall Blood' struck a massive blow on Pretani's military, industry, and trade. And before they knew it, Terran ships surrounded their islands, their agricultural region in a constant blaze, and destroyed the only reason why the sun shines brightly over Pretani.

The Terrans plan to humiliate them directly but slowly. They intend to starve them, destroy their economy, and put their country in eternal winter like the Northernmost areas of Valence.

And they still had the decency to allow foreign nationals to evacuate and heal the injured with those 'healing rockets' after the attack. It was utter humiliation. Faringdard couldn't fathom Pretani being backed into a corner like this. As such, he did what he must.

He knew the Terrans lacked honor on the battlefield, so he chose to adapt to their art of war. He secretly ordered his army to board the evacuation vessels and had his most trusted men to transport the Core Magic to the frontlines while the navy reorganized themselves.

After seeing the detonation himself, seeing these sub-creatures dying and shocked was euphoric and it was safe to say that it easily put them in their place. The news broadcast afterward sealed the deal when he saw the people cheering outside. Although it was but a measly ten minutes ago, remembering it made him grin as he took a sip of wine.

The destruction of the capital city of Albion might be massive, it was also an opportunity for him to design Pretani as his own. Massive fortified buildings, steel walls, kill zones, and traps; it takes decades to deconstruct the old and construct the new. He can make Pretani much greater and powerful from before in a much quicker timeframe.

His grin became wider, already imaging the overwhelming sight when his plans come to fruition. As the saying goes 'what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.'

"Ah, so you're here, Patriarch."

Faringdard glanced behind and saw Aizen, a young but proud Pretanian who could be considered a genius due to his intellect.
