Chapter Thirty Four

A. "Sure why not." You agree.
It was only you and him on the patrol.

"I smell water vole over here." He said.
You follow him as he tracked the scent.
Soon enough you came across a tiny clearing. You hid behind a few reeds, while he stalked across from you. The clearing was filled with young and old water vole.

If you chose...

B. You shake your head.
"Sorry no."
He frowns.
"Come on please?" He looks at you with  'the look'.
"Fine!" You giggle.

It was only you and him on the patrol.

"I smell water vole over here." He said.
You follow him as he tracked the scent.
Soon enough you came across a tiny clearing. You hid behind a few reeds, while he stalked across from you. The clearing was filled with young and old water vole.

He signaled,
Three.
Two.
One!
You and him sprang out the reeds.
The prey scattered everywhere. You cornered two adult voles while Cloudfur already caught three smaller ones.
You gave them a killing bite.
Leaving them for later, you chase after another.
You see two adult voles and a smaller vole escape. The clearing was filled with prey.
"This will be hard to carry back." Cloudfur remarked.
"I'll wait here while you get others."
He said. You nod a run to camp.

The scent of vole was left behind with Cloudfur.
As you walk into camp, you gather Junipervine and Kindheart.The
They gladly follow and you take them to where Cloudfur was waiting.
They gasp at the sight of all the prey.
"Wha- How!" Kindheart looked in awe at all of it. There was about ten or fifteen water voles.
You all grab as much as you can and trudge back to camp.
The Riverclan cats gasp.
"Where'd you find all this?"
Hailstar questioned.
"In a small clearing next to the river."
Cloudfur responded proudly.
You deposited your catch onto the fresh kill pile.
You pick up two and head to the elders den.
"Oh how nice of you!" Treeberry exclaims.

"I haven't had a warrior deliver me prey on moons!" Fishpool purred.
You smiled and dropped the prey for the two elders to eat.
"Have a nice evening!" You said as you walk away.
They purr and begin to eat.
You next stop was the nursery. Tinykit and Lilykit were waiting just out side. You bring them a vole.
"Thank you!" Lilykit hurried over to the catch and chomps down, Tinykit following behind.
Pebbleshade sighs,
"Your kits are so energetic! I would have to  tie them down with reeds!"
You purr and give her a trout to share with
her kits.
Junekit, the light ginger tom, pounced onto Firekit, a dark ginger tabby. Palmkit rushed over to the trout.
"Thank you (Y/N)!" You nod just as Blaze wing walks in.
"How are my favorite kits doing? I brought a little something for you!"
In his mouth was a blue jays feather. Firekit and Junekit take it happily.
"This is much better them scrappy old moss!" Junekit tossed the feather into the air. Firekit jumped up and caught it.
"Can we go play outside with Junekit, Firekit and Palmkit?" Lilykit begged.
You nod and Lilykit, Tinykit, Firekit, Junekit, and Palmkit all raced outside.

You smiled happily.
