Chapter Forty Five

The cool breeze swayed through your fur. The camp was quiet and no one stirred.

Your eyes flash toward the camp entrance, Shredpaw came in screaming with a limp Bloodpaw in his jaws. Horror swallows you up.
"Bloodpaw! No!" You yowl, her eyes were wide open and glazed over.
Hailstar questioned,
"What happened!"
Shredpaw, for once in his life, looked terrified. His voice quieted.
"Thunderclan is being atta-"
Before he could even finish his sentence, a massive dog torn through the entrance and leapt onto his back.
More and more dogs flooded through the reeds.
"They're back!"

Shredpaw was curled up in the corner of the leaders den. His fur was bristled up and eyes wide.
Bloodpaw was still lying in the clearing. Blood oozed from her neck.
Cats of all ages were battling the multiplying dogs. Junipervine and Mistystream cornered a dog with long shaggy fur. Mistystream leapt at it and sank her thorn sharp teeth into its neck. It's eyes rolled back it it's head and the dog fell limp.
Junipervine followed Mistystream to Deathpaw and Lilypad. They were struggling with a large black and dark brown male dog. It had a stubby tail and long white teeth.

Our of nowhere a small pup nipped your scruff. As it pounced onto you, the air was knocked out of your lungs. He pinned you down and you tore at his incredibly soft underbelly. It yipped but continued to persevere. The dogs glistening white teeth were covered in blood and saliva as it fastened its teeth around your neck.
Blood began to trickle out your mouth. Just before you could pass out, you used the last bit of your strength to push it off you. Your hind legs launched the dog into the air. It's head slammed against a rock, killing it.
"Protect the kits!"

"Fight in teams!"
Yowls came from everywhere. You didn't know which orders to follow.
