Y/n's POV
"Babe, can you help me with dinner please ?" I asked my boyfriend Lando as he was typing furiously on his computer an email I suppose.
He nodded and continued what he was doing mumbling "give me five minutes" under his breath.
Due to the Coronavirus, he couldn't travel to go racing but he still had a lot of work with his sponsors and he was twitching as much as he could for his fans which I admired a lot.
However, I wanted him to rest more. He keeps on working and we spend time together but he's constantly worried his fans will hate him for not being active on social media.
We've been staying home for quite some time, our days usually start with breakfast in bed with coffee after that, we work out together in the backyard and after lunch, we work and then Lando goes live on Twitch.
Most of his fans have been very happy with him going live almost every day but recently I've noticed he has been getting so much hate in the comments.
Some saying:
'he sucks at driving,' 'what a loser,' or 'we don't want him on Twitch.'
Some fans were even harsh saying that Lando being on Twitch was a PR stunt from Mclaren and that he wasn't that good. I hated seeing these and I know it was affecting him mentally.
Sometimes after a live session, I would see him sigh and turn off his computer with a defeated look.
There were many times when I wanted to create an account and just defend him there and I know they would come at me in the comments and on other social media platforms but I was scared Lando would be mad.
I know he wanted to protect me but I want to do the same with him and it's not fair that Formula One fans are hating and harassing him for just racing online and entertaining others.
"Y/n? Are you listening ?" I snapped out of my concerning thoughts and focused on my boyfriend setting the table for us.
"Yes babe, I'm just worried for you, some fans have been so nasty towards you," I said wrapping my arms around his waist.
Lando didn't answer and just kissed the top of my head. I understood right away he wasn't in the mood to talk about that.
"It can affect your mental health Lando, seriously" Lando set our two plates and we started eating silently.
Out of nowhere, Lando's phone rung furiously distracting both of us from our dinner. He picked it up and I recognized the voice of his agent talking rapidly.
All I heard was Lando saying 'yes' and 'don't worry' and it seemed to be important by the look on his face. He hung up and pushed his plate aside showing he wasn't hungry anymore.
"What's going on Lando ?" I got up and kneeled beside him putting my hand on his left leg. Lando tilted my head up and stroked my cheek giving me a small smile.
"My agent wants me to stop going live on Twitch for the next few days so that the hate can calm down"
My heart broke for him, he was asked to stop doing something he loved to do because some people couldn't hold on to their hate.
"I'm so sorry babe" I took him in my arms and we went to our bedroom. To hell our dinner, I'd rather cuddle with my boyfriend to make him feel better than forcing him to sleep.
I pushed him on the bed and took his t-shirt off putting it on myself. Lando looked at me with a sleepy face and opened his arms for me.
I joined him on the bed and we fell asleep comfortably in each other's arms.
*The next day*
I woke up with the sun shining through the room. Today I had a mission, make things better for Lando meaning I'm going to stick up for him and help him forget about all this mess.
In order to do that, I decided to post a picture on Lando twitching and wrote something to address the situation.

@Y/n Hi everyone! This was something I didn't want to do but due to the immense disrespect my boyfriend has been getting lately on social media I thought I'd come on here and ask you all to be more polite and to stop bullying him. Lando has been working hard so that you can watch him twitching live and it's safe to say that it's absolutely not a PR stunt! He does it because he wants you guys to be happy and in those hard times it's better if we stick together! Much love, Y/n.
The comments under the post started to flow immediately and someone even commented on with a #thankyoulando, which then they all did. Some people from F1 liked the post and I checked Twitter to see the hashtag trending.
My timeline was filled with screenshots of my post and so many heartful messages.
Lando was still sleeping so I made us breakfast as usual and waited for him to wake up. I turned his alarm clock off so he could sleep in today.
He woke up an hour later, kissing me good morning and taking a sip of his coffee on our bed. I had opened the windows and the sun was warming our bedroom.
Lando rolled over me and took his phone from my nightstand and checked his notifications, his eyes widened when he saw all his texts buzzing in.
I was laying on him with my head on his chest and he opened his Instagram with a ton of reposts of my post.
"Baby what did you do ?" I shrugged and kissed his cheek.
After a few minutes of him being on his social media, he set his phone down and took me in his arms kissing me deeply.
"You know you didn't have to this right ?" I kissed him back and wrapped my arms around his neck pulling us closer.
"I did it because I love you"
With that being said, Lando hugged me and we spent the day in bed watching a bunch of movies and eating homemade pizza.
