Dear diary, I have a problem. A boy problem. I have a crush on two boys. Fitz Vacker and Keefe Sencen (don't tell anyone!). Fitz is a gentleman, but has anger issues. Keefe is a prankster, but uses jokes to hide the fact that he is a scared, broken boy on the inside. Both boys ground me, and keep me anchored. Since I do not know who my biological parents are, I am considered unmatchable (When you are old enough you can recieve a match scroll. The scroll has a list of names you are geneticaly compatible with. ). But in order to receive a scroll, you have to know who your biological parents are. If you decide to marry someone NOT on your scroll, you are considered a 'bad match'. The Vacker family holds a kind of power in the lost cities, as you know. When I told Fitz that I was unmatchable, he was understanding. He said he would do anything in his power to find out my biological parents. When i told Keefe, he said it didn't change anything.  Since i am a part of the Black Swan, (the group of elves who genetically created me to 'save the world') i went to Mr. Forkle to ask him who my biological parents are. He wouldn't tell me because 'it would cause immence corruption and has to be kept a secret'. So after our latest battle with the Neverseen, Fitz asked if I had found out anything about my parents. He was dissapointed when I had said no. But after a session with a certain empath, I figured out who my biological mom was. I was furious to find out that she had lied to me ever since I came to the lost cities. But it didnt matter. I had Edaline and Grady, my adoptive parents, to love and take care of me.  Pretty soon Fitz found out and demanded to know who my mom was so we could say 'we are halfway there to getting your scroll'. But Mr. Forkle was right. I couldn't tell anyone. The blond councillor who doesn't deserve to be named would get kicked off the council if anyone found out. He was livid when he found out he couldn't know. We got into a huge fight and broke up. But then I realized Keefe had been with me all along. He said it didn't matter if I was a bad match. He didn't care if it brought shame and scorn to his family name. He even offered to help me find out who my parents are. He was always there for me. Maybe i just figured out my problem. Love, Sophie Foster
