Chapter 18: How did I forget that?

*Sigh* Today's the last day of holidays, I'll be going to school tomorrow, and hence will probably post a few chapters per week at most.. Really sry ...

Also, I think I'm done with the Joel and Lizzie not together thing. I'ma try to slowly bring them together starting from this chapter, though I want to make it as gradual as possible... Enjoy :)

Joel's POV:

I wake up to Oli. He keeps pushing and shaking me in bed.

Oli: Joel, the Annual Dinner Performance is next week!! We haven't rehearsed in a long time already!!!

Joel: Wait it's next week??

*Flashback

After what seems like an eternity, we're done shopping, and we take a bus back to Boarding School. As we enter the gate, we notice something new on the notice board. Oli and I go forward to see what it is.

Oli: Are you thinking what I'm thinking Joel?

Joel: Maybe, what are you thinking?

Oli: We should sign up to this.

Joel: Yea ok.. but we should find other people to join us first.

Oli: Who do you have in mind?

Joel: Callum seems like a good choice, he knows how to play guitar. Ooh, and Lizzie! She can sing.

Oli: Let's find Callum then, I think we should focus on instrumentals, we don't need a singer, Joel..

Joel: Fine, Oli..

*End of flashback

Oli waves the poster in front of me... I snatch it from his hands, and read the information myself, mainly cause I can't see when he waves it around like that. And OMG, it's next Saturday, we have exactly one week to rehearse!! 

AHHHHH!!! How did I forget that?!?! I must have been so immersed in the go kart that I totally forgot about the performance. I turn to Oli...

Joel: So when do you wanna rehearse??

Oli: When are you free?

Joel: Well, anytime..

Oli: Okayy, then I'll ask Callum..

Oli takes his phone and dials Callum's number. It rings three times before he picks up.

Oli: Hi Callum.

Callum: Sup there..

Oli: You see, the Annual Dinner Performance is coming up in a week, and we need to rehearse..

Callum: So when you wanna rehearse?

Oli: When are you free?

Callum: Anytime!

Oli: So I suppose we can meet at the music room in one hour?

Joel and Callum: Okayy!!

Callum: Oh hi Joel, see you in an hour!

Everyone: Byee...

In an hour, we gather at the music room, Oli and Callum carrying their instruments.

Oli: Recap, the songs are What I've Done and Dreaming Alone, okayy? 

Callum and I nod in agreement.

Oli: Let's rock!!

yayt the lyrics contribute to the word count this might seem like a long chapter but its mainly the lyrics haha

We practise for two hours, and in the end we give ourselves a pat on the back. Well, this rehearsal session is quite effective, and we think we are pretty much ready for the Annual Dinner already, though it might be a good idea to rehearse a few more times, just to make sure we don't make any mistakes....

We leave the music room, feeling accomplished..
