Leaning your head against your fists as everyone was laughing and joking. You couldn't help but smile as Amber sat on Jax's knee whilst colouring, the look of love he had just made your heart melt. Maybe you could make things work this time.

"Momma can I stay with daddy tonight?" Amber said looking up at you.

"Yeah I don't see why not" you smiled standing up grabbing your smokes and heading outside to join Gemma and Opie.

"Hey baby" Gemma smiled

"Thanks for dinner" you smiled sitting down on the steps as you light your cigarette.

"So you and Jax" Opie laughed nudging your shoulder. "What's going on with that"

"Can't a girl have a private life" you huffed.

"Not when it comes to you and Jax baby" Gem shrugged "you know most of us are routing for you two getting back together"

"Speak of the devil" you laugh as you saw Jax come outside to join you.

He smiled at you before sitting behind you placing his legs either side of you and a hand on your shoulder.

You didn't know what was happening, yes you fucked and you was willing to see where things went but you hadn't spoke about it. Pushing the confusion to a side you leant your head on Jax's leg, half looking up at him.

"Hey you" you laughed taking a drag on your smoke.

"Hey Darlin" he leant forward kissing your head making Gemma smile.

"Come on ope let's leave these two alone I think they need to talk" Gemma smiled kissing your head before give Jax a kiss.

"Sorry I just missed this" he half laughed running his hand down your arm. "The intimacy, the cuddles"

"Jax" you whispered moving so you could look up at him "I don't wanna rush this, I know we fucked earlier but I don't want to jump back into a full on relationship"

"I get that Leigh, we can go as fast or as slow as you want to" he smiled "as long as you are by my side I don't care"

"Sorry I ran" you sighed

"Hey like you said early it's in the past, let's only go down memory lane for the good memories okay" he whispered stroking your cheek "Amber actually asked if you could stay the night as well, I think she wants her momma and daddy in the same house for once"

"It would be nice to spend the night as a family" you smiled.

You and Jax just sat in a comfortable silence, his arms resting on your shoulders as you ran you fingers over his tattoo, when amber came running out.

"Come here monkey" you laughed opening your arms to her.

"Have you guys stopped fighting now?" She asked as she snuggled into your arms.

"Yes princess we have" Jax said leaning over and kissing her head. "How about the three of us head back to mine, we can put a move on and cuddle on the sofa"

"Disney movie?" Amber asked.

"Whatever movie you want" Jax laughed making Amber grin from ear to ear before climbing off your lap and running to say bye.

"You do know we will be watching Alice in wonderland" you laughed as you stood up.

"I don't care as long as I get cuddles with my girls we could be watching pepper pig" he laughed standing up.

As you was walking inside he placed his arm around your shoulder pulling you closer to him before kissing the top of your head. You don't think you ever saw this side of Jax even in the early days of the relationship. Maybe this time would be completely different.

"Mom can I borrow your car, we are gonna take off but Chibs brought Amber and we both came on my bike" Jax asked Gemma.

"Sure sweetie" she grinned tossing him the keys "you guys go spend some time as a family"

An hour or so had passed and Amber had fallen asleep snuggled up to Jax.

"I'm gonna take her up" he smiled scooping her up in his arms and carried her out the room.

Whilst he was tucking her in you walked into Jax's room raiding his draws to find a T-shirt to change into, once you found one you slipped your jeans, vest top and bra off before slipping the oversized shirt on and headed back down.

"Is that my shirt?" Jax smirked.

"Sorry wanted something comfy to wear" you whispered as he pulled you into his lap.

"It's fine, I prefer to see you in my clothes anyway" he smiled "stay in my bed tonight Leigh"

"No funny business okay" you smiled resting your head on his chest.

"Promise" he chuckled kissing the top of your head. "What made you come home?"

"Amber came running out into the garden wearing a reaper crew shirt, she found my box of things under my bed" you laughed "after going through the box I knew I couldn't keep her a secret any longer she needed to know her daddy, I still feel back for keeping her a secret"

"Hey what's done is done, we can't change it but we can move on from here" Jax whispered "I'm in her life now and that's all that matters"

"Just promise me once thing" you said looking up at him.

"Anything" he smiled softly.

"No sleeping around, not even on runs I know the whole what happens on a run stays there but I can't and won't go through the heartbreak of you sleeping with another women again" you whispered scared your voice was going to crack.

"I promise darlin' it's taken me ages to get you back, I'm sure as hell not gonna let you go that easily now" he whispered

Jax leaned down resting his hand on the side of your face, gently stroking your cheek with his thumb whilst staring into your eyes, leaning in you place a soft kiss against his lips, his hands found themselves at the bottom of your neck as he deepened the kiss ever so slightly.

This kiss was different to any kiss, it wasn't filled with lust like the last few, this one was filled with love and hope.
