I laid on the couch, waiting for Jack to text me about his plane landing.

I've felt sick all day and didn't even feel like picking him up.

As I laid there, I tried to just close my eyes and breathe like it would actually help with my nausea, but was soon enough interrupted by my phone buzzing next to me.

I let out a sigh and lazily grabbed my phone, seeing the text message light up my screen.

Just landed-Jack.

"Why?" I whined while sitting up.

I felt the sudden urge to pee, so I took my time to do my business, and when I finished washing my hands, I headed to the front door, grabbed my keys from the little table by our front door and headed out to my car.

I pulled up to the airport and saw Jack talking to Mark as I parked in a space in the little unloading zone they have.

I decided to just greet him in person since I needed to go inside and use the restroom again anyways.

As I got out of the car, I saw as two people approached Mark and Jack, and I realized that it was Sadie and the other guy they work with.

As she walked up to them, she put her hand on Jack's upper arm, causing him to look back at her.

She said a couple of words then went in for a hug, wrapping her arms around Jack's neck. He seemed like he was caught off guard, but he hugged her with one arm back as she said something in his ear.

I wasn't necessarily upset by this, but it did completely throw me off.

He took no time to release from the hug after she said whatever she said, and I noticed as he slightly rolled his eyes.

I shut my car door and started to walk towards the group as he turned back to talk to Mark and the other man with them while Sadie searched her purse for something.

Mark slightly nudged Jack and nodded his head in my direction, causing Jack to look up at me.

A smile immediately appeared on his face as he let go of his carryon handle and walked towards me.

"Gabby," he held his arms out with the same huge smile on his face and embraced me in a tight hug "I missed you." He lightly kissed my neck.

"I missed you too." I couldn't help but to laugh as I wrapped my arms around his neck and squeezed him back.

He took his head out of the corner of my neck and passionately kissed my lips.

"Mm, and you look so good today." He looked me up and down with his arms still wrapped around me.

"I'm in my pajamas." I couldn't help but blush.

"I know, but you still look so good."

"We we're gone for two days, Gilinsky, chill out on the PDA." Mark joked and Jack slightly laughed.

"Don't worry, Mark. You'll understand when you get married." Everyone but Sadie laughed as he pulled my body back into his and wrapped his arms around my shoulders. She seemed to be deeply engaged into whatever was on her phone.

"Fuck you." Mark joked as he shook his head.

As Jack and Mark's friendly banter continued, I realized that I had to pee again and began to pull away from him.

"babe, I have to pee, so here are the keys," I handed him the keys to my car "and I'll be right back." I said while walking away from the group.

I did my business in the airport bathroom and when I got back, I saw that everyone had left, but Jack was in the passenger's side of the car.

I got into the car and sat down as he turned his phone off and rested his head back on the seat.

"So, how was the trip?" I asked while pushing the button to start my car.

"It was ok. I wanted to be back home with you, but it was fine." He rested his hand on my thigh.

"Aww, that was quite a hug back there." I slightly laughed.

"I missed you, I can't help it." He chuckled.

"Not the hug you gave me. The one your favorite coworker gave you."

"Ugh," he opened up his eyes just to roll them "she's nowhere near someone I'd even consider a friend." He scoffed.

"I thought everything was ok with you two," I frowned "What? Did you not cover your drink?" I joked.

"No, she's just... annoying." He shifted in his seat.

"Do you need me to talk to her?" I asked.

"No, babe. I got it." He chuckled.

When we arrived home, he plopped his shoulder bag at the front door by my heels from today and let out a sigh in exasperation.

"Do we have anything to eat?" He asked while heading to the kitchen.

"Leftovers." I said as I followed him.

"As much as I love your leftovers, do you want to go out to eat?" He asked, and before I could answer, he gasped.

"Oh wow, where'd you get these from?" Jack asked as he walked towards the bouquet of roses "Did you get these for me?" He said as he picked them up and looked for a card.

"No, Jack" I laughed "I wish that was the case." I sat down as he struggled to find the card on the bouquet, and when he did, his shoulders slouched and he rolled his eyes.

"Will he just give it a rest?" He dropped them back down on the counter.

"They came in today. I thought you got them for me." I rested my chin in the palm of my hand and he stood there, obviously contemplating something.

"Jack, what are we going to do?" I asked him.

He opened his mouth to respond but hesitated.

"I.. I don't know. But we'll figure something out." He gave me a weak smile.

"Jack, he's getting out in like a month and a half."

"Ok, and we'll cross that bridge when we get there."

"I don't want to be caught off guard by him, Jack. Ignoring the problem won't make it go away and we both know that. Just talk to me about it."

He let out a sigh and picked up the flowers. A few petals fell from the bouquet as he walked to the trashcan and threw them away.

"Don't ignore me, Jack." I said sternly.

"I'm not ignoring you. Can we just talk about this tomorrow? It's been such a long day." He rubbed his face.

"Fine," I sighed "but we are having that conversation. I'm serious, Jack."

I, once again, apologize for the delay in updates. I've been doing a lot of activist work and work for other organizations I'm art of so even finding time to write has been hard. I think this next week will finally calm down for me though so I'll have more updates coming sooner
