Chapter 24 || Rooftop

I follow Jaemin behind the school where I first met Xuxi Oppa. Where Jaemin let my brother notice that I was eavesdropping. It wasn't exactly the place I've seen them but it looks like it.

Jaemin stopped as I looked at him confused.

He smirks as his eyes wander somewhere as I follow in curiosity. I see a ladder leading up to the rooftop.

"No" I instantly said backing away from him.

"Then stay here and let them find you" Jaemin threatens

"Jaemin, that building is like four-floor high. Besides, there must be a staircase for this" I say as he nods. My face lit up in happiness when he agrees. "Okay, so we're going to let Mr. Choi caught us if we take the staircase then more detention coming," Jaemin said nonchalantly making my face drop.

I look down looking for another excuse to not go up there.

"I'll be behind you. You won't fall, I swear I'll catch you when you fall" he said looking straight into my eyes. I felt my heart start beating when I realize that I interpret what he said in another way. I felt myself flush so I look away from him pretending to look at how high it is. I walk towards the ladder when I realize that I was wearing a school uniform.

I quickly look back at him, my eyes widening a little. "You go first" I demand as Jaemin looked at me confused. "I'm wearing a skirt" I reminded him as he raised an eyebrow amused. "I wouldn't mind" He smirked making me blush more, "Yah Jaemin ah!" I exclaimed as he laughed moving along the ladder. He started climbing up as I watch his back crawl up. Jaemin wasn't hesitating in climbing up, glancing down to where he's stepping then back up to where he is holding.

Jaemin arrived at the rooftop, he looks down at me. "Come on, Daehyun. You won't fall unless you hold on tight" He shouts down at me as I gave him a look.

I slowly move my hands to the ladder, stepping my left foot first as I started grabbing tight to the ladder. I didn't look down but instead I only lookup seeing Jaemin watching me go up with a smirk. I was almost up there, my hands were shaking a little after holding tight onto the ladder. I see Jaemin's hand in front of my eyes, his body blocking the sun from my eyes. I grab on to his hand as he pulled me up as support as I step foot on the floor.

"I hate ladders" I grunted, "But you still climbed" Jaemin remarks as I sneered at him.

I ignore him, looking around the rooftop. Old chairs place on the side. There are a few plants around the area.

I see Jaemin standing a few feet away from me. He was looking on to something. I follow him there standing beside him. My eyes wander right in front of me as I see the buildings of our school.

There's a total of 3 buildings in our school.

I see over the guard looking around the area, must be finding us. I notice that the classroom we have detention was right in front of the building were standing.

I felt Jaemin's hand grab onto my arm pulling me back, I look at him confused. "The guards are looking up" I nodded at what he said.

"You've been here before?" I asked, walking to a chair with a broken desk as I sat there.

"Sometimes," He said as he leans his back on the wall as he looks at me. "Does my brother go here?"  I asked wandering as he only nods not speaking a word.

Jaemin stood there taking his phone from his pockets as he starts scrolling through his phone.

His tall figure right in front of me as his eyes focus on his phone. Jaemin's long brown hair was kind of messy as the wind makes it fly.

My eyes wander on his face and landed on his lips. My heart suddenly started beating rapidly as I remember the times we almost kissed. I felt myself blush, hotness creeping through my neck to my face.

Jaemin's eyes look up landing on mine as my heart skipped a beat. His eyebrows knitted in confusion. I quickly look away panicked.

" Are you okay?" Jaemin asked a little amused when he saw me red

"I- uh, it's almost time. We should go back" I said rapidly still panicking.

He nods

As we went down the ladder, and I swear to God I hate ladders. Not a single word was spoken between us until we heard something.

"I think I've seen them here somewhere"  I heard a man's voice, I quickly look at Jaemin as I realized it was a guard. Jaemin told me to be quiet.

"When I say run, we run. Clear?" Jaemin whispered as I only nod.

Jaemin looked around the area as I only looked at him waiting for his signal. Jaemin gave me a look so I started running as I look back to him when I heard him shouting then running to the other side. My heart beating fast as my legs started working on it. I ran to the same path we walked on earlier. I felt students glance at me as I ran quickly to the classroom we are having detention on.

I arrived at the opened window and quickly went in catching other students' attention. I ignored them sat down on my sit earlier breathing heavily tired of running. I contemplate thinking of Jaemin getting in trouble because of me.

I heard walking outside the classroom, I glance back at the window waiting for Jaemin to come in until the door opens. I felt a sweat drop from my forehead until I meet Jaemin's brown eyes.

I sigh in relief when Jaemin landed his eyes on me as he smirks at my situation while walking towards me sitting on the chair he sat before.

"I never been so glad to see you" I huffed as he smirks looking at me. "You said that before" He winks as I realized and I blushed looking away.

Mr. Choi suddenly came in the room, opening the door as he glances around. "You're all dismissed"
