Chapter 17: Ninjaball Run

"So these are my weapons?" Aria asks staring at the two fans in her hands

"yes" Wu replies

"Am i almost done" Lloyd complains, he is doing a one-handed handstand

"Lloyd focus" Wu proceeds to pour some tea "In order to bear the fate of on your shoulders, you must first learn to bear the weight of all of us"

Lloyd is using his feet to balance the and Wu. is on top of Lloyd's feet while holding and in his arms, and is standing on his head. Cole has Wu on his shoulders. The Ninja are all nervous while Aria is standing in the corner messing with her new fans.

Wu sips tea "Focus"

"Sensei, I'm starting to think this was a bad idea" Jay says nervously

"Yeah, Sensei, he's just a kid" Cole agrees

"In order for him to succeed, we must all trust one another" Wu lectures

"yeah that's why Aria's being balanced too, right?" Kai asks sarcastically while gesturing to the blonde girl in the corner

"I got a free pass" Aria shrugs as she placed her fans down

Behind them, outside, some machinery is heard as Lloyd starts straining from holding all the weight on his feet. A wrecking ball slams into the wall, making Aria scream and everyone fall and land on the ground.

"Aria!" Lloyd shouts worried, then dust settled and everyone stared

"A-Aria" Cole says

Aria looked at them "what"

Aria was standing in front of the wrecking ball with one hand on it, It was stopped in place. Aria shrugged.

"what, did you want it to go all the way through and hit the other wall?" Aria asked

"no but it's good to know that your earth training is going well" Cole says surprised

"No no no!" Dareth shouted running into the room "It wasn't supposed to start until tomorrow!"

"Tomorrow?" The foreman turns to the builder "Let me see that order" The builder hands him the order slip and he looks at it "Oh, yeah. My bad. Sorry about that. We'll be back in the morning" 

They both leave. Dareth groans as he picks up one of his "trophies," which is bent.

"Uh, Dareth, what is this all about?" Cole asks

"Well, I fell behind on some of my payments and some developer named Darnagom Enterprises is buying the entire block to put in some stupid frisbee-golf course. They say if I don't come up with 50,000 by tomorrow, the dojo is gone" Dareth explains

"But, we already lost the Bounty. We can't lose the dojo now" Jay whines

Aria looks at the sign "Darnagom? When you rearrange the letters, it spells—"

"O grandma?" Jay interrupts

"No, it spells Garmadon" Aria says annoyed "don't interrupt me!"

"Right sorry" he laughs "yeah that would make more sense"

"Um, my dad is behind this?" Lloyd questions

"If he destroys the dojo, where will we train Lloyd and Aria?" Cole asks

"Exactly, but how are we supposed to get $50,000" Kai questions

Nya walked in "The Ninjaball Run, the biggest and most dangerous road race in Ninjago, is the next day and the grand prize is one hundred thousand dollars"
