Theif! Hitoshi Shinsou x Warlock! Male Reader

(Yeah, I do AU's too :) )

"Hey! Hand over what you stole from me, thieving bastard!"

There was quite a commotion happening up near the town square; An elderly merchant was shouting and hollering about his stolen goods, how the thief wouldn't give up the food or the money to pay for it.

The boy's hood was up, pulled over to cover his eyes with the assistance of his wild indigo colored hair. His face was scrunched and his jaw clenched as the man held him harshly by his lanky bicep.

"Pay up or return it, you no good stealing c-"

"Hey now." A scratchy male voice sounded from somewhere close in the crowd. The way cleared to show another young man, his blood red cloak's hood also up, pulling his (h/c) hair on top of the left side of his face. (If you have real short hair then.. ignore that part.)

"Here Sam," the boy tossed a small pouch that landed on the merchant's cart with the satisfying sound of 'chinging' coins. "This should pay your ridiculous expense demands. Seriously. I mean, it's half a loaf of bread."

As the (h/c) ruffled his own hair, he yanked the other by his loose sleeve, seeing his face with his cloak hood off wasn't such a bad thing, but it's still important to not show off your identity to the town.

"Why did you spend all of your currency on me? I'm nothing but a worthless theif that has weird insane hair."

"Oh, no. I didn't pay that scammer so much as a cent!"

Shinsou looked at the shorter in confusion.

"What do you..." When he trailed off, he could spot people soaring through the crowd at great speeds. Each wearing a differently colored cloak, but with the same damned symbol on each of their hoods:

Twas the shadowed image of a long extinct Mage holding a staff and a bag of riches.

You see, Magic has been long faded out of the new era. Gone with the wind, as one might put it. Yet, there was something a little... glowy about the taller teen's newly found companion.

The boy simply brushed it off.

"Wait a minute, you're telling me that you have tons of comrades just wondering around this place? All for the reason of a single pouch of coins?" He asked.

"For your information," suddenly he's bumped into from behind, but it doesn't seem to bother him.

He lifts his right hand, showing a peek of the same navy blue pouch he had just thrown away to the greedy old man. A piece of paper as well.

He opens it and bites his lip, something he does when he sees something he likes. Or something that satisfies his needs. The need for a close partner, perhaps?

"Ahem," he clears his throat, "for your information, Shinsou, I've had this little bag for a tad bit over six years now." When he held it up, it looked exactly like the same pouch the Mage in the symbol was holding.

The (h/c) smirked his way, making a smidge of heat rise to the other's cheeks and tips of his ears.

"O-oh.. My apologies, uh," Shinsou stumbles from the lack of a name.

"Just call me (N/n). 'Tis quite the pleasure to meet you, rookie." (Y/n) chuckles, holding his hand out for his new member to shake.

"O-of course! The pleasure's yours. I-I mean! Mine! Your pleasure is all mine!"

The blush becomes that of a dark crimson, escalating from the light pink that it dusted his face a mere moment before; (Y/n)'s face becomes an exact replica.

"No, w-wait- Th-that's! Ah, my sincerest apologies!" Shinsou shouts, his deep soft voice becoming frantic and embarrassingly broken up.

"I-It's alright, Shinsou."

'I don't mind.. not at all.' The boy thought to himself, shifting in his position before moving on, removing the hood of his cloak as they got further away from the bustling square and deeper into the forest and toward glorious giant tree that grew right outside the boundaries of The Royal Forest.

Yes, what these bandits and thieves were doing here was, quite literally, borderline illegal.

"Welcome to our Secret Society, Shinsou." (Y/n) smiled, introducing him to the people that were there. There weren't many others, but (Y/n) told him there were others - they were just out and about at the moment.

"I can tell you feel out of place out there so, why not join us? Join me.." His (e/c) eyes locked with Hitoshi's purple ones.

"Yeah... yeah, okay." He smiled back, looking ahead of him and admiring the view of the people and the tree.

'I think I'm gonna like it here.'

(Short, I know, but I thought it was cute.)
