"Daichi, get your ass out here, she's back!" Chiharu exclaimed, turning the corner around her desk.
She hugged me as tight as she could and I laughed, hugging her back.
"Oh my god, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. Your replacement was driving us crazy! I mean how rude can a detective be?!" She exclaimed.
I heard foot steps running down the hall and Daichi appeared around the corner. He slumped against the wall when he saw me, panting out his words.
"Oh thank god. She's really back."
He barreled into us, almost knocking me down.
"He was such an asshole, thank god you're back." Daichi said.
"I wouldn't leave my job for the world."

Sitting at my desk, I shifted through some papers, going over whatever needed to be done.
I had spent a good hour tidying my office. Putting things in their places, redoing my paperwork system I had. Apparently my replacement had no regard for my space.
Maybe he was an asshole.
But now everything was back in its rightful place along with me, in my worn down and comfortable chair, elbows on my desk as I placed paper in piles and signed documents that needed my approval.
My day was quiet so far, nothing much going on. I hummed a quaint tune as I worked, a dumb smile drawn on my face.
I was just happy to be back at work.
"Agent, there's someone here to see you." Chiharu said through the intercom, voice scratchy due to our shitty system.
"Send them in." I said, not looking up from my papers. I looked between a few in my hands and I heard my door open.
I looked up, smiling and saw Denki walking through my door holding balloons and flowers, pointing his camera at me.
"What is this?" I asked, standing up while I laughed.
"It's your Happy First Day Back at Work present!" He exclaimed, holding the balloons and bouquet out to me. I came around my desk and took them, still laughing and smiling.
"Well thank you... are you recording me right now?" I asked, careful not to say his name.
"Yeah, I'm live right now, say hi to my fans!" He said, holding the camera up.
I waved at the lens, smiling.
"Hello."
"I just wanted to stop by on my way to work and give you a little something to celebrate." He explained, smiling.
"Well thank you Chargebolt, it means a lot to me." I looked down at the flowers, smelling them. They were beautiful and multicolored, all in bloom. They gave off the smell that only fresh flowers can, that clean and sweet smell that makes your heart beat a bit faster because you know they're for you.
"I'm just glad I made you smile!" Denki exclaimed, holding his arms out. I placed the flowers and weight of the balloons on my desk and gave Denki the hug he asked for.
"Well, I can't stay long, I have to go get to my shift." He said, frowning.
"Duty calls, I get it."
"Wanna say something to the people at home?" He asked, holding to camera to my eye level.
I hummed in thought, trying to decide on what to say. I leaned back on my desk, my arms holding me up.
