I was practising some of my skills on the ice, perfecting my turns and jumps as well as I could, it was closing time for the public so I knew I could use this time wisely so I was ready for my competition next week.

I was doing some spins and skating around when I saw someone join the ice, it startled me and I stopped dead in my tracks.

It was Josh Richards, my high school crush and ex... we dated for around a year, the last year of school before we went our separate ways for college, I mean I didn't go to a college and I found out later that he was kicked out for bad behaviour or something, long story short I didn't think I'd ever see him again.

Y/n: Josh?
I asked confused as I stood still, him skating over
Y/n: what are you uh- doing here?
I asked him as I pulled my skirt down, yes I was practising in my skating outfit but I did that a lot.
Josh: I play here remember? I thought I'd come here after closing time so I could catch up on speed and stuff
He explained to me, I nodded and skated around and little

He told me

Y/n: thanks, you've changed... kinda looks like you matured, although I don't see any facial hair

He laughed as his eyes followed me around the rink

He started skating around a little, still paying attention to what I was doing.
Josh: so how's life going? Did you end up joining college?
Y/n: nah, I want to work on my skating career, I mean I'm on the leaderboard every year now, you?
I answered as I spun around a few times
Josh: I mean once I dropped out I started working more on my hockey but my girlfriend goes to college so I might re-apply
He answered
I stopped my spinning and looked over to him
Y/n: oh... you have a girlfriend?
I said looking down
He broke out into a chuckle
What could possibly be funny about that?
Josh: nope just wanted to see how hung up on me you were
He laughed
I looked at him with a glare.
Y/n: funny Richards, real funny
I huffed before spinning again
Josh: will you stop with the spins and pay attention to me
Y/n: nuh uh
I said as I span 2x faster
Josh: anyways do you have a boyfriend... or girlfriend who knows with you?
I laughed a little before answering
Y/n: nope
I said as I exaggerated the 'p', it leaving my mouth with a pop
Josh: wait so you haven't had any dick since me?
He laughed
Y/n: well now I've had dick just not relationships
I replied
Josh: so what's your best trick?
He asked, skating around me
I smiled before skating a little faster, jumping into the air with one spin before landing and doing another, then ending with a one foot balance
He cheered and clapped
Josh: wanna see mine?
He smirked
I folded my arms before nodding, him skating really fast over to me and picking me up like a freaking basketball or something
I screamed while laughing before Josh and I fell over
Y/n: ouch
I whined as I got back up
Josh pulling me back down, pulling lips to his
Josh: please take me back
He said as he pressed our foreheads back together
Y/n: that's not the worst idea
I smiled before kissing him again
