Chapter 30

I walked into the room and saw Jack sitting on his bed with his head in his hands.
"Jack."he shot up he looked like he had been crying he came over to me and hugged me.
"What happened."he asked
"I can't tell you."
"Why?"
"Just look." I said handing him my phone
"Boys come here." I yelled they all came in one by one and took turns looking at my phone. I went to the bathroom and locked the door. I sat on the edge of the bath and started silently crying. Then I heard a knock
"Kacey open up it's just me." I heard Brook say
I didn't respond
"Kacey please."
"I just ended to be alone."
"Ok just please don't do anything stupid."He left after he said that.
I spent at least one hour in there crying the boys accepted that I needed space. While I was in there I cleaned up the cuts that my dad had made about another half an hour later I went back into the boys room. No one was there except Jack but of course he had to be asleep. I didn't want to wake him so I went on the couch and played on my phone for a bit until I heard the door open. I quickly put my phone away and pretended to be asleep.
"I hope Kacey is ok." I heard a Rye say
"I can't believe your dad was here." Andy said
"Jacks probably worried sick." Brook said
"Guys I think we should just talk to her tomorrow about all of it."Rye said
They all agreed and went to their beds I felt someone out a blanket over me. I kept my eyes closed too long that I actually did fall asleep.
So I couldn't hear the rest of the conversation they were having.
(RYES POV)
*The next day*
There was a knock at the door so I went to see who it was and it was Jordan
"Hi Rye Bro."
"Oh hi Jordan I wasn't expecting you."
"Ye a know can you come out here I need to talk to you alone."He asked
"Yeah sure what's up."I said and closed the door.
"Well when I saw Jed at the park I asked him to show me his wrists just in case he did anything and he said he didn't do anything so he wasn't going to lift up his sleeves."He said
"Right fuck when he says that it means he's done something worse than usual. Right then what happened."I said
"I argued with him about it for a couple of minutes and then I said just leave it let's go back to the flat."he said
"Right ok I'll talk to him but are you staying or going?" Is asked
"I'll go."
"Ok see you later then."I said
"Bye."
I walked back into the flat and Jed was sleeping so I went over to him and gently shaked him so he would wake up he finally woke up so I took him out into the landing of the flat. And asked to speak to him.
"Right Jed mate listen to me Jordan told me what happened at the park. So could you lift up your sleeves."I asked he shaked his head.
"Jed come on I'm being serious lift up your sleeves or I'll do it for you." He lifted his sleeves and there were five cuts that looked quite new on each wrist. And they were deep so I knew there must have been more.
"Jed thank you for showing me but please don't do that. Now can you please take off my jumper."I said since he was wearing my jumper and I knew he didn't have a top underneath the jumper. But he shook his head.
"Jed." I said in a serious voice as soon as I said that he started taking his jumper off. He had loads of new cuts it was really bad so I'm not going to tell you about them.
"Right.  Jed mate you need to stop doing this and I mean it I'm not going to get you to promise that you'll never do it again but please promise me you'll try and not do it."I said
"Ok I promise I'll try." I pulled him into me and hugged him.
"I love you bud."I whispered into his ear
"Love you too Rye."He whispered back
