Chapter 28

The rest of the vacation was incredible. The two of you spend almost every day with Tonya. You gave Tonya your number so she could call you and she told Billy to call when the two of you made it back to Hawkins. Billy and you took shifts driving again. You would drive during the day and Billy would drive during the night.

You were driving when you saw the Hawkins sign. You sighed not knowing how Billy was going to be once he was back in Hawkins and if the memories of those horrible events came flooding back.

You pulled up to the garage to pick up your truck. You softly shook Billy to wake him up. "Billy." You cooed. "Hmmm?" He hummed. "I'm picking up my truck so I need you to drive. When we get back to the cabin we can take a nap then unpack later. Okay?" You asked. Billy nodded his head and slowly stretched well you went inside to pay and get your keys. You got into your truck and saw Billy sitting in the drivers seat trying to keep his eyes open. You started your truck up and pulled up next to the car. "Are you going to be okay to drive baby?" You said through your open window. Billy nodded his head and started up the camaro. You followed him to the cabin just to make sure he was going to be okay.

Once the two of you made it back to the cabin you decided to let Billy head to the bedroom and you would call Tonya to let her know the two of you arrived back safely. You could hear in her voice that she was sad that the two of you were back in Indiana but you knew she was excited when the two of you would finally move to California.

After you hung up the phone you walked into the bedroom. As you opened the bedroom door you already could hear Billy lightly snoring. You changed your clothes so you were just in a shirt and panties and curled up next to him. You looked at your alarm clock. It was noon. You decided to set an alarm for 5:00pm so the two of you could eat dinner and unload the camaro. You shut your eyes and fell asleep holding Billy in your arms.

The alarm started to go off. You quietly shut the alarm off and decided to gently shake a sleeping Billy. "Baby wake up. The baby is hungry and so am I." You softly spoke. Billys eyes fluttered open. "Diner?" He mumbled. "Sure sleeping beauty." You chuckled causing Billy to roll his eyes.

The two of you got up out of bed and decided to change clothes before heading to the diner. You took your truck since the camaro still had to be unpacked. You decided to let Billy drive because he prefers to drive instead of you driving. You tossed him the keys to the truck and he got in the drivers seat and you got into the passenger seat.

Once the two of you made it to the diner, Billy got out of the truck first and opened the door for you. He heald onto your hand as if he let go you would be gone. You continued to squeeze his hand for reassurance.

Billy opened the door for you and the two of you walked inside. As soon as the two of you entered the diner you heard voices yelling Billy's and your name. You looked to see who was yelling for the two of you when you noticed your best friend jumping out of the booth and immediately running towards you to engulf you in a hug. Steve picked you up and spun you around. "Put me down!" You screamed well trying not to laugh. Steve put you back down on the ground and shook Billys hand. "We have been waiting for it seems like hours for the two of you to." Said Steve. "Howd you know we would be here?" You asked. "I knew the two of you were coming back today so I figured the two of you would eventually come here to eat. Thats why I got the gang together." Steve spoke matter of factly.

The three of you made it over to the booth as Robin, Nancy, and Jonathan all stood up out of the booth to give Billy and you a hug. All of you took your seats at the booth. Steve, Billy, and you sat on one side of the booth and Nancy, Jonathan, and Robin sat on the other side.

Nancy noticed the ring on your left ring finger. She immediately stood up. "I have to use the restroom. (Y/N) can you come with me?" She more demanded then asked. You stood up and placed a kiss on Billys lips before heading to the restroom with Nancy.
