"Dalaga, sasama ka sa'min mamaya ni 'Nang Flora" Christian said fixing his broken fan.
Sa tinagal-tagal nang sira ng electricfan na iyan, ngayon lang niya naisipang ayusin. Walang duda, tamad talaga.
"Where?"
"Sa, Guagua," he said.
I looked at him in disbilief. "Minumura mo ba 'ko!?" sigaw ko.
Surprised and with eyes widened, he burst in to laugh. A raging laugher echoed at the four cornered walls of this house.
"Damn! I can't breath." holding his stomach.
He stopped laughing and smirked at me. "Brat couz, I said Guagua not gaga."
My face flushed, feeling embarrassed. "What's Guagua?"
"Doon tayo mamalengke, it's Guagua pampanga,"
Indeed, after my cousin Christian told me things about Guagua pampanga, pumunta kami sa iba't ibang pamilihan. Marami silang binili ni 'Nang Flora na mga panlahok sa lulutuin, dumating ang alas singko ng hapon ng makauwi kami sa bahay.
Feeling tired, tinulungan ko pa rin si 'Nang Flora na ayusin ang mga pinamili. Nilalagay ko na ang mga bawang at sibuyas sa taas ng lababo ng may maramdaman akong magaspang at mabigat na kamay na humawak sa bewang ko.
I startled and stomp the foot of that person. Lumingon ako sa likod. There, I saw Abel, with his face filled with sourness. Touching his hurt foot.
Lumapit ako. "Sorry, akala ko kung sino." biting my lip.
His thick brows furrowed. "Are you expecting someone else?"
"H-huh? Of course! Wala!" I defensively said.
Abel's face looks skeptical. "Really?" he slowly said.
"O-of course! W-wala naman akong iba!" damn! why am I stuttering.
He moved towards me. "Why were you stuttering?"
"I'm not!" sigaw ko.
Abel laughed. He press his finger in my cheeks, at nilagay niya ang takas na buhok sa likod ng tenga ko.
"Ginabi kayo. Sa'n kayo galing?" pulling me closer.
Lumayo ako ng kaunti. "Ahh-- Guagua."
Abel's licked his lips. "What did you buy," leaning his face in my neck.
I tilted my head. "Abel!" suway ko. "H'wag dito. Nakakahiya kay 'Nang Flora,"
He looked around and scoffed. "I don't care, tell me more."
"Let me go first,"
He moved a little, still not letting me go. I hissed. Hinampas ko ang didib niya dahil sa inis. Napangiwi ako ng maramdaman kong ako lang ang nasaktan sa ginawa ko.
Abel immediately tooked my arms, gently carressing it. He sighed. "Does it hurt?"
Tumango ako. Binawi ko ang kamay ko sa kanya at hinatak siya papaupo sa lamesa.
"Hindi na masakit, behave." pangaral ko sa kanya.
Abel crossed his arm and watched my movements. Tumayo ako at kumuha ng makakain sa ref para ibigay sa kanya. I placed a cake and a glass of water in front of him.
