Chapter 24: Those 'Punks' I Call Friends
"Let me know if you need anything." The nurse smiled to me before leaving the room after handing me another blanket, its insanely cold in here.
But the look on her face was more to say 'let me know if these punks give you trouble and I can kick them out.'
And by these punks I mean Allison, Scott and Stiles who have somehow managed to steal chairs from other rooms so we could have a nice seating set-up to talk. They literally put four chairs and kind of placed them in a circle so we could all see each other, gotta give them props for their manors though.
Maybe not so for the people with missing chairs.
I'm just watching them all talk between each other about random things, Scott and Allison sneaking around, school work, just the simple things that remind me that we are just teenagers. Not just people dragged into a world we can barely handle.
I can't help but feel a little envious that they are all talking to each other about everything, because quite honestly I have no clue whats going on.
I have been in the hospital a week and a half, getting through the first week was horrible I could barely move without being in agonising pain and having to lay right back down again.
Now though, I can actually move around without needing 24/7 supervision with people thinking I was going to suddenly just collapse from the pain. And you know the best thing about a speedy recovery? I can go home soon.
The Doctors were - and still are - a bit shocked of how fast I have recovered considering I nearly bled to death from a bullet wound, but I honestly couldn't care. I'm not exactly going to question getting better, am I?
I cleared my throat slightly, gaining their attention. "So, what am I missing?"
"Uh..." Stiles drawls out, looking over at Scott who is doing this weird eyebrow thing. "Nothing much."
I feel a smirk fall onto my face at his answer, he is the worst liar. "So thats why Scott's got an eyebrow dance going on? Seriously, I'm basically in the dark here tell me some gossip or something." I whined, pulling my blanket up to my chin and giving them all puppy-dog eyes.
Stiles scoffed and muttered something about not falling for it, while Allison just laughed.
"Okay, uh... You missed Harris yelling at Stiles, again, he also said you are lucky you were in the hospital or you would be in so much trouble for not being in school. And... Oh, Lydia will probably tell you about it but she has mission 'get back to the top of the chain' starting up." Allison told me, grimacing as she said about Lydia's new mission.
"Oh God, why is there a mission? They never end good." I sighed, leaning my head back. This will probably mean I'm gonna have to get involved, then that means hanging out with Lydia's fake friends who will compliment everything.
Its sickening.
"Everyone in school is kind of treating her like.." Allison bites her lip trying to figure out what to say.
"Like she's crazy?" Stiles offered for her.
Well, thats blunt.
"Well I was going to put it a little nice than that." Allison scowled at him.
"Nah, it's cool. Call Lydia crazy in front of me, not like we're family or anything." I joked.
Stiles just shrugged and turned his attention back to me when I spoke, almost as if he was studying me carefully.
