18: Night's Plot Twist

Luna's POV

Cloud and I were enjoying ourselves on the dance floor, oblivious to the stares of those around us. I didn't expect to feel so at ease with him. After rejecting him so many times these past few days, I had no idea that I could instantly let my guard down.

I didn't notice that by building a solid wall around myself, I was also excluding warm hearted people like him from my life. I should have realized this before.

"Excuse me, Kuya Cloud. Can I?" Biglang sulpot ni Sirius sa gitna namin.

Natawa na lang kami ni Cloud bago niya iabot ang aking kamay sa kapatid ko.

"Enjoy." He smiled at us before leaving the dance floor.

"I apologize for breaking up your moment, Noona, but I must do it now. Masyado na kayong sweet tignan." Ngiwi ni Sirius kaya napasinghal na lang ako.

I didn't have any trouble looking him in the eyes since same height na kami ngayon, thanks to my heels.

Sirius never changed. Even if I don't always treat him well when I'm upset, he never leaves my side.

He's still the same sweet brother I know.

I couldn't help but laugh at his answer. As we move through the basic steps, I decided to rest my head on his shoulder.

"Do you realize that this is our second dance?" He asked and I simply nodded. "Your debut served as the first one. You didn't want to invite your classmates, so we went to the beach instead. That night was Christmas Eve, so Appa and I figured out a way to dance with you and cheer you up. Do you remember?"

"How could I have missed that? I'm not sure if that counts as a dance since I wasn't really moving like this, but we did it while on the water. Ang lamig-lamig kaya ng tubig, tss."

"Romantic, right?" He chuckled.

"Super. Sa sobrang sweet niyong dalawa sa akin that night, ang sarap niyong lunurin." I cracked a joke, but he just hugged me back.

"The idea actually came from Eomma."

"Are you serious?" My eyes went wide as I faced him again.

"Yes, I'm Sirius." He smiled kaya natawa na lang ulit ako.

"I didn't expect her to think of that."
