FIVE. QUESTIONING

The seven boys stared at her as she cooked a meal with their food, they watched as the girl standing in full dressy clothes chopped and washed different kinds of food, making a meal for herself.

"I'm hungry, I don't understand why that's so fascinating to you." She said, feeling the seven pairs of eyes burn into her back.

"What's fascinating is that you walk into our home, undetected. Pick a fight with us and then start cooking like it's your home we barged into." Hoseok said, watching as she moved the pain with a flick of her wrist, shaking the contents inside.

"Okay, do you know what's even more fascinating? That seven vampires have every cooking supply needed when they feed on human blood to survive."

"I like to cook, sue me," Jin admits, Haeun chuckled, grabbing a plate and serving herself some while grabbing a bigger, less shallow bowl and placing the rest in.

She grabbed a pair of chopsticks digging in right away, leaning against the marble counters, across from the men who stared at her on the side of the kitchen island.

"You can have that you know, I'm not going to finish it." She said blankly. They looked at her wearily.

"How do we know it's not poisoned?" Haeun scoffed.

"There's no poison on earth that could kill or harm any of you and I haven't gone on a mission in weeks due to something called a bounty on my head. Where would I get a dead man's blood?"

"You're an S-ranked assassin. Getting some blood from the dead isn't that hard."

"I make it my code to only kill bad people and the people that mess with my mission. And the people involved in my mission."

"You killed my father." Taehyung glares as she eats, she barely acknowledges him.

"Yeah, and?"

"You killed my father and he did nothing wrong!" He yelled out, expecting an answer but didn't get one.

She continued to eat in the deafening silence, angering Taehyung. She turned around, placing the plate in the sink, grabbing the sponge and the dish soap, turning the tap on.

"Answer me goddamnit! You at least owe me that!"

"I don't owe you shit." She said firmly, turning off the tap and turning around to meet his eyes. "I kill bad people, I kill people who get in the way of my missions and people who are involved in my mission. If you can't rack your little brain for the answer, you're not worth my time."

"Bullshit! You won't tell me because you killed him out of cold blood and don't want to admit it." Haeun sighed, closing her eyes in frustration.

"Fine, you want my answer? Yeah, I killed him in cold blood. I like seeing the red fade from vampires' eyes when they try and fight back, I like snapping their necks with my bare hands and when I morph my nails into razor-sharp ones, plunging it into his chest and ripping his cold, dead heart out, I like how it feels. There, that's my answer." She glared, seeing Taehyung's eyes flicker between feelings like anger, disgust and sadness.

She felt those feelings running through her veins but ignored it, continuing to stare him down.

"That's enough, you two," Namjoon said, glaring at each of them. "Now, head to the living room. We have much to discuss."

She followed the group and sat on the single chair across from the big ass couch they all crowded on.

"Syrin, is your real name, right?"
