TWENTY-SIX. BREAKING CURSES
Hoseok watched as Jin, Namjoon and Jungkook walked into the room that was used the least, minutes after Haeun had walked in.
He had a gift of stealth, not even his soulmates could find him, he was that good.
It was an ironic gift, considering how loud he was most of the time.
He got closer to the door, watching from the little crack.
He saw the three men and Haeun sitting on the couch.
Namjoon sitting on the far right of the couch, Haeun's head laying on his lap while her legs were thrown over the lap of Jungkook and Jin.
He watched as the four of them shared kisses, exchanged looks and jokes. He felt the genuine happiness that Haeun felt in the pit of his stomach, it matched perfectly with how hard she was laughing and the huge smile on her face.
His eyes trailed to her dark eyes finding him through the crack of the door and gave him a small smile, right then he felt the same butterflies in his stomach and the pounding of the head.
He stood there as the memories flashed back and held his head as he leaned against the door frame, trying to shake off the headache, he looked back up at the group of 4 who stared at him.
"Hobi?" She said hesitantly, standing up and walking over to him. He watched her approach him, eyes scanning over her features to memorize them all.
He grinned, running over to her and picking her up in his arms, spinning her around.
"My sunshine!" He laughed, spinning her once more. Haeun laughed, eyes closing shut in pure happiness,
"Hobi! I missed you so much, I felt like the sun didn't shine bright enough without you here," She pouted.
Hosoek could resist but kissing her pursed lips and all over her face.
"Oh, look at your adorable features. I can't believe I let a curse erase my memories of this perfect girl," he said, kissing her.
"Please don't ever forget me, I missed you too much and I was hurting too much."
"I know, I'm sorry," He said. He looked back at the three men who looked at him with a smile. "Let's spend the little time we can together, sunshine. I imagine we have to put on a facade later." He said sadly.
She nodded with sad eyes.
Hoseok sighed, carrying her back to the couch and making her cuddle with him.
Something he hadn't had in so long.
✵✵✵
Haeun had left the penthouse for a while, feeling overwhelmed and needing time to herself. It was nearing the holidays, so she was wearing a grey turtleneck dress with a black coat and thigh-high boots. Her hair in soft curls and her face and ears becoming pink from the cold.
She walked through the streets, feeling the busy rush from people in malls, their kids running around and playing with the fallen snow.
Haeun smiled at the children who ran past her, giving her a small smile before dashing off.
Letting out a sigh, she continued to walk.
Her mind was racing, thoughts after thoughts rushed through her mind. The pain and hurt she had experienced hadn't left, not until she was able to get all of her boys back. At least that was what she thought.
But of course, that wasn't the case.
After she had gotten Hoseok back, Yoongi came back a few hours later, apparently, he fell in love with her the same way Hoseok had, by her genuine smile and it wasn't hard to smile when she was surrounded by the people she loved.
But loving someone and forgiving them are two different things.
She knew better, of course, she did. She knew it wasn't their fault, she knew they had no control over it but it felt like they just want to down play the curse.
Like they were invalidating everything she was feeling.
She knew they didn't mean to do this, they were probably as disgusted with themselves as she was with them after seeing all the kisses and couple-y things there were doing together.
She walked with her head down, not knowing what to think.
She knew she should be more forgiving and understanding but it was hard for her, especially since everything was still going on.
She walked into a cafe, buying a latte and a gingerbread cookie, going over to a table to enjoy her treats.
Watching as civilians passed her by, taking a sip of her piping hot drink. Minutes passed and she felt numb.
The ringing of her phone woke her up from her people-watching trace, she picked it up and answered.
"Hello?"
"Haeun, we need you home," she regonized it as her elder brothers voice and furroerd her brows.
"Hajoon? Why are you calling me?"
"Look, I can't tell you everything on the phone but dad's been injuried, badly and we need your help," Haeun felt her heart drop, feeling worse than she did before.
"I-I...." She was conflicted, her father was incredibly important to her but her soulmates don't even remember her and even the ones who did, they couldn't help her. She made a decision. "I'm on my way."
She ended the phone call right when she spotted Taehyung and Jimin walk in, looking dashingly handsome in their suits as well as intimidating.
They sat across from Haeun with a chilling stare.
"I see news has spred," Taehyung said with a smirk. "Is he dead?"
Haeun's eyes widened, she knew what had just happened.
"Don't be so surprised, you should've known that we would do anything for you to leave, especially after everything you did to us and our love,"
"What did you do...?" She asked in a soft voice, unable to act strong in front of the two people she trusted.
"Nothing much, but here's what you're going to do," Jimin said, leaning back into the chair and crossing his legs. "You're going to leave, our lives. Forever and since we don't love you, nothing will happen, even if we are soulmates but you on the other hand... hurts, doesn't it?"
Haeun watched the two with her fists clenched and tears filling her eyes.
"Your bags are pack and are waiting in the car, you can take it, a little parting gift," Taehyung smiled before taking a bite of her uneaten cookie and placing the keys on the table.
"Hope we never see you again," he seethed and like that, they left.
Haeun sat in her seat, frozen.
So if this was how it was, let it be.
She composed herself, grabbing the keys and storming out the door.
