TWELVE. PUNISHMENT

They arrived at the coven, the guards letting the boys in skeptically since they had saw Haeun with them.

Walking into the front door, many grieving families gasped seeing seven of the most respected vampires in the world with the person that caused them so much pain.

"They found you, I knew it. Now I can do this-" The angry woman went to slap Haeun but she caught her wrist, gripping tightly.

"I know you're hiding your grief under this anger, but do not test me." She growled, yanking her hand away.

The woman looked at her with so much anger, wanting to come at her.

"You killed our husbands, our wives, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters! And you have the audacity to threaten me?" She yelled, the other vampires walking behind the woman.

"Do you have no fear? Do you know what I did to them?" Haeun growled. "I killed them in seconds, what do you think will happen to you?" She went to grab her neck but felt retrained.

"Haeun, enough," Namjoon said firmly, grabbing her arms. She huffed and turned to look back at the woman.

"You tortured my little brothers, children. I killed those vampires to protect us, you can't tell me that you wouldn't have done the same." She said before walking away with the rest of the boys.

"We are not the same! You knew those vampires stood no chance and yet you killed them! That's not protection, that's murder for your own enjoyment!" Haeun stiffened but felt the hand of one of her soulmates on her lower back.

"Ignore and walk away, don't fight back," Jin whispered. Haeun relaxed and kept walking.

"Sissy..." she heard as they walked through the halls, vampires staring at them, more like glaring at a certain girl,

"Yes, sweetheart?" Haeun whispered, standing right behind Jimin who had offered to hold Hayoon. The little boy was awake now and searching for his big sister.

"Where are we?" He asked, turning his head to find the shoulder was not his sisters, but a man he didn't know.

"W-Who are you?!" He said, surprised.

"I'm Jimin, little one. Don't worry, we're here to protect you."

"I don't need protection, I got big sissy."

"Yes, your big sister is very strong, but we're here to help her if she wants to be stronger," Jimin explained kindly.

"Oh... I guess it's okay then." He spoke, his eyes turning back to Haeun.

"We're at Jimin's past home, I guess. I need to talk to his parents."

"Are you in trouble, sissy?"

"I don't know, but I promise I won't get into any more trouble."

"Nah, don't promise that. Trouble is fun." He giggled.

"Yeah, it is, isn't it?" She smiled with the little boy.

Jimin chuckled at the pair, finding it amusing that all the Argyris children acted like this around each other but so different when apart.

They entered the room of the council. The boys were let onto the floor, and when they did, running to the sides of their big sister.

The elders were taken aback from her appearance but knew better than to judge based on appearance, though, the resemblance was uncanny.
