Chapter 17

Today is my first day in class, again. We're here at the Dean's Office and I am with tita Amelia.

As what I've expected, nagulat ang Dean nung makita niya ko. I am well-knowned here after all.

“We don't usually accept transfer students, but since it's your request Dr. Figueroa, we gave it a chance.” sabi ng Dean kay tita Amelia saka niya ibinalik ang tingin niya sakin

I just looked at him with cold eyes and got nothing to say.

“Actually, Asha looked like someone who was a model student of ours. But unfortunately, she died.” dagdag pa nung Dean

Nagkatinginan kami ni tita Amelia matapos niyang sabihin iyon at kaagad na tumawa si tita Amelia.

What an awkward situation.

“Yes dean. Colm told me already. And since it's like that, I hope you can help Asha adjust here.” sambit ni tita Amelia

“Of course, yes. Thank you for your time.” sagot sa kanya ng Dean

Tumayo na si tita Amelia kaya ganon din ako. Napatayo din ang Dean at nag-offer na makipag-shake hands kay tita Amelia na kaagad namang tinanggap ni tita Amelia.

“Iiwan ko na siya dito Dean ha? Thank you so much. I know that my daughter is in good hands.” sambit ni tita Amelia

Tumingin siya sakin at hinawakan ang dalawang kamay ko saka niya ko nginitian.

“Take care okay? Stick with Colm or Neo.” bilin sakin ni tita Amelia

I'm in the same class as Neo's which means magkaklase kami ulit nila Roisin. But well, I already have composed myself to act normal around them.

Neo just transferred here too, along with me. Para mabantayan din daw ako sabi ni tita Amelia. Though he didn't want it, wala siyang choice.

“Yes...mom.” mahinang sagot ko sa kanya

Nginitian nita ko at hinaplos ang buhok ko, saka niya pinisil ang kamay ko at sabay kaming lumabas along with Neo na kanina pa walang imik.

Alam na rin niya yung sitwasyon because tita Amelia told him. And with that, he even became more distant to me after knowing everything. I don't even know why.

When I talked to tita Amelia, I found out that he is tita Amelia's nephew. I just didn't expect it since hindi naman sila same ng features. But tita Amelia told me that he got his features sa daddy niya. Sabi niya, kamukhang-kamukha siya ng daddy niya.

“Sige na. Maiwan ko na kayo.” sambit ni tita Amelia at tuluyan na ngang umalis

While me, I looked at Neo who's boredly looking at me.

“Tara na.” sabi ko sa kanya

Hindi niya ko sinagot pero sumabay siya sakin sa paglalakad.
