In which Bdubs has competition.

This takes place a few weeks after Wels came back.

_____

Bdoubleo was getting ready for his duties as the 'Always Day' officer.

He had brought it upon himself to protect the server from the horrible threat of nighttime mobs and terrifying phantoms by sleeping as soon as the sun went down every night that he was on the server, and he hadn't failed yet.

Bdubs sat on his bed, pulling his cyan covers over himself, though before he could shut his eyes, he heard a buzz from his communicator, which laid on his nightstand.

Bdubs would have ignored it, had he not seen a wisp of sunlight come down from his window. Not long after, Bdubs felt a small wave of exhaustion come over him. This usually happened when someone slept the night away; anyone left awake would feel the effects as if they had stayed up all night long.

Bdubs sat up in confusion. Had someone slept? That was his job. Besides, who could have possibly slept so fast?

The confused hermit grabbed his communicator.

Welsknight went to bed. Sweet Dreams

What?! Impossible! It just couldn't be so. No one could beat the sleep master. It was his title, his duty to the server.

Wels is new to the server; perhaps he doesn't know. Bdubs reassured himself, dismissing the notification.

Might as well get started on today's to-do list. He thought to himself; It's not like I could sleep right now, even if I wanted to.

Bdubs stood up, stretching. He looked around his room, stuffing his communicator in his pocket, and tying his signature red headband around his head.

It was nearing that time again, and Bdubs made his daily preparations as the sun slowly began to set behind Mount Goatmore.

Already, he had forgotten about last night's occurrence as he sat down in his double-bed, ready to go to sleep. He was in no rush, there was no need to be, sleep was supposed to be relaxing, and there was nothing him preventing him from sleeping anyways. He smiled as he began to close his eyes.

Once more, his routine was interrupted by light streaming through his eastern window, with the tired sensation that was becoming familiar washing over him once more. His communicator buzzed.

He didn't even have to look at it to know what it said.

Welsknight went to bed. Sweet Dreams

Bdubs groaned. Two nights in a row that he had missed his obligations. Third time's a charm, right? Bdubs tried to reassure himself as he equipped his elytra, before flying over to his massive half-built cliff. Maybe working on the cliff will take his mind off things.

Welsknight was working on his 'starter base,' utterly oblivious that he had competition in the sleeping business.

He placed a few more bone blocks along the frame of the building. He smiled at the progress he was making, although he ran out of bone blocks for what seemed like the hundredth time this week.

Wels decided to finish the roof before heading to the shopping district to buy more bones. He wanted to make sure the interior would be protected if it rained while he was gone. He knew he wouldn't be gone for long, but better safe than sorry.
