Raymond's POV

"So far, your condition is good. The operation is successful and there are no signs of failure. Continue to take care of yourself, Raymond."

I smiled. This is good news.

"Thanks, doctor. I knew that I could count on you."

The doctor thanked me and convinced me that he is just doing his job.

My assistant clears his throat.

"Sir, you got a phone call."

"Really?", I said.

My assistant handed me the ringing phone.

I took it and looked at the name of the caller.

I frowned seeing the name.

For a moment there, I thought that it's Elena.

I kept on waiting for her to call me. We need to have a proper talk.

" Hello?"

"Good afternoon sir. I found his location."

"That's great. I want you to send me the location right now. Also, find out his phone number. I'll be needing it."

He agreed. Of course, I paid for him.

I hanged up the phone and excused myself from the doctor.

I went to the parking lot and dialed Alexa's phone number.

"I hope that I'm not disturbing you, Alexa. Is it a good time to talk?", I said.

" Sure! What's up, Raymond? How's Elena? Do you have any need of her?", Alexa said on the other phone.

"She needs more time."

"Don't worry. I know that she'll forgive you. Time heals every wound."

"Not everything. Some things are exempted. By the way, I called you to tell you some news."

Alexa sounded worried.

"If this is bad news, I'll skip."

I laughed lightly.

"If it's bad news, I won't call you. I'll head over at your place."

Alexa gave out a sigh of relief.

"My men had just found out Brandon's location. I learned from them that he is preparing for something big. I do not doubt that it is for you."

Alexa's voice became happy.

"Aww! He is preparing for my birthday!"

I agreed.

"I don't wanna spoil you so I'll send you later the location. Don't you dare go there until it's your birthday? "

"But what will I wear? I have no idea."

"Don't worry about that. I got you covered. I already bought you clothes and shoes you will wear there. "

"I can't wait! You can join too. Bring Elena with -."

She turned quiet.

I smiled weakly.

Elena... How is she anyway?

"I'm so sorry Raymond. It slipped!"

"It's fine Alexa. I will try to invite her. You can ask Christian to accompany you."

"That's a good idea. I hope Elena attends too. I owe her a lot."

"I do hope so."

I heard some sizzling on the other line.
