::::

minho opened up the front door to be greeted by jeongin and yeosang, as expected of course. the two walked in to also see jisung, changbin and felix talking while sitting on the couch.

"oh? i thought you called us over to hangout together?" yeosang asked, becoming confused.

minho bit his lip awkwardly, "well, if i told you why i really brought you here, i didn't think you would come."

the two friends exchanged worried faces. minho's not usually this suspicious, and the fact there are three other people here for whatever reason makes them even more unsure.

"so uh, let's head upstairs."

the group of people followed minho up to his bedroom, where it no longer was a mess; in fact, it was an explosion.

but a different kind of explosion. instead of everything just laying wherever it pleases, all the furniture was moved into the center of the room. all the pictures were taken off his wall as well.

"i'm so confused," jeongin spoke, laughing slightly.

minho walked into his closet, grabbing cans of something and bringing them out.

"i need help repainting my room. i think i need a change of atmosphere. this place worked as somewhere where i would go to drown and hide my feelings...this room suffocated me for years. i think the depression den needs some redecorating so it feels more like a safe place than a prison."

the friends smiled, especially jisung. "wow, that's really smart, min. i would love to help!"

jisung then rolled up his sleeves, opened a can and grabbed a paint brush. minho keeled down beside him, helping him open the can because it was clear he was having trouble.

"what color are you painting your room?" changbin asked, getting some spackle to fill in any holes in the wall.

"a light purple," minho answered, "it's different. and i like that."

the friends pared off into little groups, them figuring splitting off would get the job done quicker. changbin and felix filled in the holes and cracks, minho and jisung used the roller to paint, and jeongin and yeosang used the brushes to do the edges.

they turned on some music and got to work.

"i think changing the atmosphere of your room is a really good idea," jisung spoke as the two painted side by side.

"thanks, and i appreciated you helping me out. there is no way i could have done this on my own."

"says the literal artist!" jisung laughed, making minho chuckle a bit.

"oh! that reminds me," minho suddenly changed the subject. jisung raised an eyebrow curiously.

"i think i finally know what i want to do with my life."

jisung couldn't help but smile. "and what would that be?"

"i want to go into art therapy. you helped me realize that there are other people like me in the world who struggle to deal with their...emotions, and need to find different ways to talk and cope with them. when you had me draw out my feelings in therapy a few weeks ago, it was so much easier to talk about how i was feeling. explaining art is a lot easier than explaining my thoughts. and i want to help others like me who feel like their lost in a solar system."

jisung put the paint roller down and pulled minho into a hug, not caring about the paint he was probably getting all over his clothes.

"i'm so proud of you, minho," jisung told him, sounding over the moon happy. minho couldn't help but smile back. it feels like it's been forever since someone was genuinely proud of him, happy with who he was as a person. he's so used to getting put down, that hearing something positive about himself seemed almost foreign.

minho's come a long way since the shy, stubborn, and alone kid he was back in november. jisung helped him open up to new people, find new ways of dealing with his problems, and most importantly, learn that he is not alone.

recovery isn't an overnight process. it'll take months, maybe even years to fully learn to love who you really are, especially after being told otherwise for so long.

but minho's willing to take on that challenge. there will for sure be bumps along the way, but he's not ready to fully give up on himself just yet. now that he's got some real friends in his life, who understand and accept who he is, he knows he is never alone.

and when times do get tuff, he can go to jisung, his awesome ass best friend, who's been there for him since day one in therapy. the person who's never given up on him.

minho can finally say, that jisung's the sun in his life he's always been looking for.
