Part 10- Insecurity

Asiyah's POV.

I woke up feeling absolutely disgusting.

My throat was dry, my eyes were puffy and red.

My hair was more than a mess, my face was bruised.

My arms were bruised as well and I had forgotten for a moment where I was.

I looked around me and saw some medical objects and tools.

I'm not at the hospital but I am in a room filled with medical stuff. I can smell medicine.

There was I'm guessing medicine being injected in me through a tube that was followed by a bag hanging.

My clothes were changed to my pyjamas.

I saw a cup beside me and there was water inside so I immediately drank it.

What happened to me?

Am I at the institute?

I heard my stomach making noises.

I am starving to death right now.

This is worst than when I'm fasting during Ramadan.

Food. I need it right now.

I was about to get up when someone came in.

It was Maryam. What is she doing here?

"oh my god Asiyah!" she said making it sound as a relief.

She ran to me and hugged the life out of me.

She pulled back and looked at my face.

"you scared me so bad Asiyah, look at yourself... What have you done?" she sounded upset and sad.

What did I do wrong?

I can't seem to think too much right now.

I'm just really hungry right now.

I'll be able to think after eating.

"I'm okay?" I said unsure.

"do you not remember what happened yesterday?" she asked me.

Yes I know but I don't want to talk about it now.

"I'm hungry" I said completely ignoring her question.

"I'll bring you food" she said as she was about to get up but I stopped her.

"can I go with you? i'm bored here" I said.

I don't like it, it's plain and sickening.

"okay I'll call the doctor just to make sure you can leave"

I nodded and then she left.

Few minutes later, the doctor came and started checking me up.

While he was doing that, Maryam's fiance came into the room and Sultan was also here.

" alright you should be good to leave this room but you might feel tired or dizzy and it's normal because a really strong drug was injected into you and it might be some side effects other than that make sure to rest and eat your 3 meals of the day okay?" the doctor said.

I nodded and then he left. I immediatly got out of the bed.

"sit back down" Sultan ordered me.

"why? the doctor said I can go" I said.

"we have some talking to do first" he said as he came standing in front me with his arms folded.

I waited for him to say whatever he had to say.
