I wake up to a sudden freezing gust of breeze in my room. I turn over and see the Dark Lord standing before me. "Get up, Joy."

I sit up, leaning against my shoulders to look up at him, rubbing one eye to help me wake up. I look over to the clock next to me as it reads, 5:53.
"Are you fucking kidding me? The sun isn't even up yet!" I groan. Voldemort explains, "We have a lot to get through and I'm on a time crunch. Now move it." I roll my eyes before getting out of bed and get ready for the day.

The sound of an alarm clock shocks Draco awake. He's decided to return to Hogwarts early, in attempt to complete his tasks so that he can focus his attention to getting Joy back once Voldemort gets what he wants.

He takes a quick shower, and throws on his regular black suit. He walks over to his drawer where his ring chain hangs on the wall above. He sighs deeply at the memory of it, before grabbing it off of the hook and hanging it around his neck, behind his shirt.

He hobbles down his staircase where he sees Narcissa sitting in the dining room. She asks, "Where are you going?" Draco answers her without glancing her way, "Hogwarts." Narcissa questions, "So soon? You have a few days left before you're due to return." Draco quickly grabs his wand from the foyer before heading to the living room. He shouts, "Well the Dark Lord needs his tasks done, doesn't he?!" Narcissa runs to find where Draco is, who is moving fast towards the door.
"Draco..." She calls out. Draco turns around and faces his mother, who is nothing but concerned for the well-being of her only son. "I'm deeply sorry you have to do this alone," She fixes the flap of his jacket as she looks at him.

Her words stung. Draco wasn't alone... until recently.

Draco pushes Narcissa hands off of him and walked right out the door.

I lounge on a chair that's placed in front of Voldemort, "Great Salazar, I know that already." He glares at me, "Face it Voldy, there's not a spell you can teach me that I don't already know." I smile at him, knowing I'm right and he's just wasting his damn time.

I decide to change the subject, "So what gives?" He looks at me confused. I sigh, "Why me? Why am I your heir?"

Voldemort raises his eyebrows, "We are the same, Joy. You and me." He stays hovered above the floor as he goes on, "No family. The desire to be worshipped." I interrupt him, "See, that's where you're wrong." I smirk, "I don't desire to be worshipped... I simply am."

His expression stays cold, but I could tell he's growing annoyed with me. "...Anyway, it's been proven that you possess the same amount of power as I. When you were old enough, I took you under my care." I huffed and say sarcastically, "Lucky me."
Yeah, he was getting annoyed with me.

He pointed his wand at me and suddenly, I'm lifted up on my own two feet. I smile, "Did I offend you?"
Voldemort zoomed to stand in front of me, "Remember who your superiors are, Joy." I laugh, "You just said we were the same." He didn't take a liking to my back talk.

He walked away from me and I'm forced to the ground. My knees ache at the impact as it hit the marble floors. "I made you who you are, and I can destroy you just the same. Am. I. Clear?"

I smile sweetly, "Crystal."

The train ride to Hogwarts was quiet and lonesome. Draco sat in the same carriage, at the same table as he did months ago, during his last train ride with Joy.

He watched the world outside go past him, as he begins to think about how he must execute the rest of his tasks. He knew that his future with Joy was at stake, and he was determined to get it back.

Soon enough, he was walking the halls of Hogwarts once again.
The hallways were empty. Majority for the students where still home for the holidays and only a handful stayed back for Christmas. He quickly made way to the dungeons and up to his room.

He dropped his personal belongings onto his bed and quickly unpacked. He grabbed the copy of Olde and Forgotten Bewitchments and Charmes that was on his bookshelf, and began to study.

He needs to do this, and he needs to do this right.
