Always. (A Draco Malfoy Story)

Forever.

I awoke surrounded by a soft white light. I'm standing in the middle of what looks like Platform 9 3/4 at King's Cross station.
I look around for a second before I hear a familiar voice behind me.

"Hi there, darling."

I turn around and see Draco standing before me, "Draco?" My eyes begin to swell up as I run over to him and embrace him.

He holds me in his arms for a minute and kisses the top of my head.

A million thoughts run through my mind, "How?! Where?! What?!"

I hit him in his chest, "You died, Draco!"

He winced but argues back, "So did you."

I crossed my arms, "I watched you get killed with my own two eyes, by Voldemort himself. That's way worse than losing my memories!"

He tucks a strand of my hair behind my ear, "I said I got you, and you got me. Always."
I roll my eyes.

He chuckles, "This is our forever now."

I sigh, "Just us two? Doesn't seem so bad."

Draco stretches out his lips in uncertainty, "I wouldn't say it's just... us."
He nods his head in one direction, motioning me to take a gander over.

A familiar shadow of a figure emerges from beyond. I know that robe anywhere.

I gasp, "...Sev?"

I take a step forward to him, but was stopped when I saw two others... that looked familiar from a distance, but I knew exactly who they were once they got closer.

I turned to Draco in complete shock.
I immediately began to cry when I asked him, "Is-is that...?"

He smiles and nods, "Twins. One boy and one girl."

Still amazed, I mention, "I didn't even know—"

Draco interrupts me, "I had a hunch. You've been tired... and you've been having mood swings. You would eat a lot and then you didn't. Mother said that your dress needed to be altered. Lovegood asked if you were nauseous. Snape also knew, but didn't tell me until I got here."

I began to sob, "We were pregnant?"

He nods, "Voldemort... you know... when he hit you with that curse." He coughed while explaining, trying not to say the real words of what happened.

Instead, he smiles and assures me, "They're amazing. They get to choose what age they are in this world." He chuckles, "I convinced them to be old enough to walk and talk."

"Mummy!" They both cried out.

They ran up to me and I crouched down to hug them into my arms.
I never want to let them go.

Draco mentions, "I hope you don't mind... I've named them myself."

They both stood before me. "I'm Scorpius Malfoy," the boy introduces himself proudly.
"And I'm Phoenix Malfoy." The girl smiles.

I stood up and looked to Draco, "You named them after constellations?"

Draco fixes the flap of his jacket, "Of course, love. I have to keep the tradition going."

A clearing of a throat catches all of our attention.
"Grandpa Sevy!" The twins run up to Snape, who I actually witnessed smile the biggest smile I've ever seen before.

Snape quickly realizes that Draco and I were watching him and his smile drops immediately, "Only they can call me that."

Scorpius ran into Phoenix's shoulder, making Phoenix yell, "Watch where you're going, stupid!"

"You ran into me!" Scorpious yells back.

"Nuh uh!"

"Yuh huh!"

I giggle and walk up to Snape as well, following the twins closely behind.
"So... was this part of your plan?" I ask him.

"If it meant to protect the two of you... then yes." He says.

"When did you find out about them?" I look back to see Draco playing with the twins.

Snape starts to explain, "The first time you fainted at Hogwarts. Madame Pomfrey was suspicious about it. It wasn't until your second fainting spell, that she did the charm to see for sure. We argued a bit about telling you... but you woke up by then."

I sigh and look down at the ground, "I—I didn't—"

Snape motions for me to shut up, "I heard everything you said. I admit I was... touched." His facial expression remained cold, but his eyes were sincere.

Draco walks up behind me and wraps his arm around my shoulder, "Ready to go home?"

I nod and follow Snape and the twins, with Draco, into the bright light.

I have a home... and family.

It's everything I've always wanted.
This was my forever... something I've always wanted...

...And now I have it.
