movie dates (a. cullen)

"hi!"
alice greeted as she took a seat next to y/n.
"hi,"
y/n returned softly.
"i'm alice. you're y/n, aren't you?"
"oh, yeah,"
she smiled and opened the textbook to the appropriate page.
"nice to meet you."
"likewise."
alice continued to smile her pure smile at the sight of y/n,
not too sure why she couldn't tear her eyes off the girl.
in all her years of living,
alice had never known a girl to be so regal and loving all at the same time.
she was instantly attracted to y/n in ways words couldn't explain.
"hey..are you busy after school?"
y/n looked at alice to see the beautiful smile etched onto her pale skin.
"no, i don't believe so. why?"
"you and i are going out."
y/n pulled her bottom lip between her teeth,
then smiled with a nod.
"yeah. alright. sounds good."
"great! i'll meet you after your last class, okay?"
"okay."
y/n turned her head back to the textbook in front of her and let the heat spread throughout her body.
her smile remained bright,
and alice's remained even brighter as she eyed y/n from her peripheral.

the bell rang,
dismissing students from their last class of the day.
y/n gathered her things and walked out to see alice standing right by the door.
"hey!"
"hi,"
y/n returned with an excited smile.
"so, i was thinking. movies, right? there's supposed to be like this funny but action filled movie and i thought you might like it."
the girl shrugged and walked outside with alice to her car.
"if that's what you want to watch, we'll watch it."
"yeah?"
alice beamed.
"yeah,"
y/n reassured.
they climbed into the car and y/n was left to bounce in her seat with anticipation.
a date with alice cullen.
i can't believe it.

y/n and alice sat together in the dark theater,
their laughs loud and vibrant at the movie.
alice looked over at y/n to see her with a soft smile painted across her lips.
she adored the way y/n closed her eyes shut when she laughed,
or how high her eyebrows would rise when something surprising happened.
y/n was not only beautiful,
but quite funny.
alice eventually tore her eyes off of y/n and back to the movie but laced her fingers with y/n's.
y/n's face flushed as alice's cold hand intertwined with her own,
making her feel secure.
y/n turned to her and locked eyes,
realizing how welcoming they were.
alice let the smile dance across her lips then brought their connected hands to her lips.
alice's cold lips brushed across y/n's knuckles before she laid a gentle kiss on them.
"alice.."
y/n mumbled,
her heart slamming against her ribcage.
"yeah?"
"would you...wanna come over after?"
alice let out an airy laugh then nodded,
"yes. of course."

y/n laid still against alice's cool chest,
fast asleep in the arms of the girl she admired most.
alice laid awake with her eyes on the tv and let her fingertips graze up and down y/n's back;
even while she laid asleep.
alice had spent years searching for something she was missing,
feeling the yearning of a love she had never known.
until now.
as y/n let the snores escape past her slightly parted lips,
alice felt the flutter in her stomach and knew this was right where she belonged.
y/n stirred awake and instantly felt the body beneath her.
she looked up at alice with warm eyes that radiated love.
"thank you for tonight. i had fun,"
y/n spoke through the sleep in her voice.
alice smiled that angelic smile,
"i did too. you're pretty cute when you sleep. did you know?"
y/n felt the blush travel from her cheeks all the way down to the base of her throat.
"i'll have to take your word for it."
the two let the quiet giggles travel through the air before alice began caressing y/n's back with her light fingertips.
"you're not tired?"
alice shook her head,
"don't sleep much these days. you don't mind, do you?"
"not at all. i'll stay up with you."
"oh, y/n, no need. i'm quite alright."
"what if i say that i want to stay up with you? would you let me then?"
alice let another giddy smile play at her lips before she nodded,
"of course."

alice and y/n spent the next few days together;
the same days being the best of y/n's.
they would laugh and banter one another,
y/n would challenge alice to an all nighter to which she always lost.
y/n enjoyed alice just as much as alice enjoyed her.

"y/n?"
alice asked one night,
lacing her fingers with y/n's.
y/n smiled and caressed alice's thumb with her own,
"yeah?"
"can i say something totally crazy?"
"i don't think anything you say is totally sane, love, so yes."
alice giggled then nodded her head,
"i really like you and..i was wondering if maybe you'd like to be my..."
"girlfriend?"
y/n asked with a soft smile pulling at the corners of her lips.
alice nodded in confirmation,
"yes. girlfriend."
alice saw the flash of y/n and herself,
lying in the bed they occupied currently,
but things were different.
their smiles were brighter as one;
their laughs were louder and cheerful as one;
alice's skin radiated with love as y/n watched with eyes pooling in fervor for the girl.
all because y/n had decided.
"of course, alice. i'd love to be your girlfriend."
