Recovering…

Today's show was just perfect, and the workers in charge of closing the place left with the lights off here at Freddy's. Just like I've done this for eight years, I waited for them to drive some blocks away so we could all do our stuff. I heard the motor of their car fading in the distance, it was time. I slowly opened my eyes and the first thing I did was to wake Chica up, who always waited for my sign to wake up. I touched her shoulder and she immediately ran towards one of the tables in the dining area.

"Chica, where are you going!?" I asked out loud.

"Didn't you see that?" she was saying while sitting down, "one of those men left a piece of cake here!"

Decided about her actions Chica proceed to devour that pink piece of cake on a plate.

"Gross! Eating people's left overs again?" Foxy growled when he came out of his cave, "I wouldn't be surprised if you also eat what gets stuck between their teeth."

"Shut up," she replied still full of joy.

Foxy came across the dining area and came over in the stage.

"Say, papa bear, ready to be replaced?" he said with his pirate tone.

"What?" I asked while I was keeping my microphone behind a stereo.

"Don't ya remember? Today that one-million-dollar guy's gonna get here."

"Does that guy worth one million bucks!?" Chica asked while walking to us; she had already finished her cake.

"I heard between conversations they spent that dough to bring him in here."

"Ohh yeah, what was his name? Bonnie, right?" Chica and Foxy kept talking while heading towards the kitchen.

During the minutes they were talking here I didn't feel any desire of giving my opinion about that guy that it's coming, of whom I have no idea of his arrive by the way. It's true, I already knew about him, but I just don't know why I feel weird or nervous of thinking that he's gonna be working with us. I'm obviously not afraid of being replaced, the hard work we all do here by our own is what have set us in the place we currently are, now we get to enjoy the fact of being one of the most popular restaurants in the city. No, this feeling of nervousness can't perish with just knowing that I won't be replaced or humiliated, I just don't know why that gets me like this. I didn't want to tell Chica and Foxy anything, I don't think that's something to freak out for or to be eventually spread as a prime gossip, I guess I'll just wait for the hour this guy is gonna arrive so I can clarify this feeling of 'discomfort'.

I decided to go to the kitchen; I just wanted a glass of cold water. When I got in I could still hear Chica and Foxy speculating about the way to work and attitude of the new guy. I just looked for the things I needed.

"No way, when he started to work in MoonLight I started to see at least one kid with a sticker of a moon on their hand. I say that his way to work will take us to success," Chica said excited.

"Well I sure hope he gets us higher, 'cause your pizzas certainly haven't, lassie. "Foxy laughed. Chica patted him kinda hard.

When I was about to go I could tell she was setting the kitchen to her own way, that configuration she's always used since the day she arrived to cook easier the next day. I felt for a moment that… perhaps… I could make breakfast tomorrow; I mean, this new guy's probably gonna be hungry, I don't think it would be good for us to make breakfast the same time we're used to, I should make it earlier for him. I didn't know if I should've told it to Chica.
