Chapter 18: Saved

Yeonjun, Yeji, Hyunjin, Somi, and Zombie Chan

"Hold my hand."

Yeji blushes and stutters, "W-what?" Hyunjin and Somi turn to Yeonjun suspisciously and he says, "Just in case something happens." Somi asks, "Can I hold your hand?" Yeonjun takes a hold of Yeji's hand and Hyunjin takes a hold of her other hand.

Yeji feels awkward in between her brother and her friend. Somi notices and pulls her away saying, "I'll hold her hand. You can hold Chan and you can hold the backpack and lead the way."

Yeonjun asks, "When were you the leader?" Somi replies, "You never claimed the title." Yeonjun argues, "We can do it by age." Somi nods and he smirks, "I'm 19."

Somi glares at him, "You knew you were the oldest." Yeonjun shrugs his shoulders, "I just met you, how would I know?" Yeonjun then takes a hold of Yeji's hand and hands Somi the backpack. He says, "And I'll lead the way."

Hyunjin just nods his head because he didn't want to be leader anyway and it was best he was walking in the back because he can see everyone. Somi huffs as she places the backpack around her shoulder and they quietly make it out of the apartment building.

It was just dawn so the sun was barely up. To their luck, there were little clouds in the sky and they could sort of feel the warmth of the sun. But it was still cold and they were still expecting zombies. They quietly walk down the streets until they hear.

grr....

Somi turns around annoyed, "Shut up!" Hyunjin replies back, "Why are you getting mad at me!?" She replies, "I was talking to Zombie Chan!"

grrr...

Somi hisses, "Don't you talk back to me!" Hyunjin then rips a fabric from his long coat and carefully places it on Bang Chan's mouth to muffle his growls. He smiles, "Happy?"

Somi nods her head and looks back up to see Yeonjun and Yeji in their own world. Hyunjin hisses, "She just met that guy and it looks like she's ready to give her life for him." Somi turns to him, "Isn't obvious she likes-"

Somi jumps back after bumping into a sudden softness. She looks forward and notices Yeonjun standing completely still and Yeji slightly behind him. Yeji places a finger on her lips as Yeonjun's eyes dart around the area to find an escape route. Hyunjin looks above Yeji to see a horde of zombie vibing in the middle of the road.

He suddenly hears a small rustle behind him and turns around to see Zombie Bang Chan spit out the gag in his mouth. Hyunjin's eyes widen as he quickly runs to Chan but it was too late.

Grrrr....

Hyunjin's eyes widen as Yeji, Somi, and Yeonjun turn around to see what was the noise. Suddenly the horde of zombie notices them, and Yeji starts to internally curse. Yeonjun says in panic, "Follow me, watch each other's backs!"

He immediately starts running and the three follow behind him blindly. But as Hyunjin's legs continue to stride, the rope holding Zombie Chan starts to weaken. The rush of the chase and adrenaline of fear starts to fill the teenager's minds.

Chan breaks free from the rope and no one seems to notice except for Yeji who's eyes met his. Chan immediately sprints after her and she ends up separating from the group but no one noticed at all.

"FUCK, FUCK, FUCK, FUCK!"

"IN HERE!"

Yeonjun and Somi turn to Yeonjun who was pointing directly at a coffee shop. The two sprint after him and quickly turn their heads to see a horde of zombie running after them. The quickly run in and before Yeonjun could close the door, he glances around and frantically yells, "WHERE'S YEJI?"

Hyunjin's eyes widen and looks around equally panicked. Somi yells, "YOU HAVE TO CLOSE THE DOOR!" Yeonjun glances outside and notices the zombies quickly running to them and he couldn't help but slam the door shut. Hyunjin ran to him to help hold the zombies off as they rammed the door trying to get in.

Somi couldn't help but shriek hearing the loud growls and bashes.

Once they stopped, Somi was quick to take the tables and chairs to help barricade. Hyunjin then grabs Yeonjun's collar and slams him on the wall.

Somi turns to the loud bang and notices Hyunjin's face was inches from Yeonjun as he pinned him to the wall. The two men stared each other off with a glare as they were only inches from kissing. She unknowingly whispers, "Hot."

Hyunjin grits his teeth, "You were supposed to be watching Yeji." Yeonjun glares at him and says, "When the zombies showed up, I told you to watch each other's backs!" Hyunjin replies, "I was stuck with Chan, how could have I watched her?"

Yeonjun says, "You should've left your zombie friend for your own sister." Hyunjin punches him which brought Somi out of her perverted gay trance. She shrieks as Yeonjun punches back and Somi was quick to run in between them to stop them for hurting each other even more.

Somi yells, "STOP! STOP! IT WAS HOT UNTIL IT WAS NOT!"

The two look at her confused as she shakes her head and says, "Nevermind. We have a lot to worry about now and you two fighting won't help." The two guys stand up and straighten their clothes as Somi says, "We lost the food, the water, and Yeji." Somi suddenly realizes something and looks around the room. She says, "Where's Chan?"

Hyunjin says, "He's right-" He pulls up the rope he never let go but his eyes quickly widen seeing it snapped in half.

Somi whispers, "Shit."

Yeji opens her eyes waking up from her exhausted sleep. Where am I? I was just running until I passed out and-

grrrr....

Her eyes suddenly widen as she realizes what's going on. Yeji shrieks seeing a zombie's face only inches from hers. It was growling with his mouth dripping with blood and his skin pale white. She starts to panic realizing that it wasn't just any zombie, it was Chan. Where am I?

Suddenly, Zombie Bang Chan's starts to scream in pain and Yeji could only close her eyes in fear.

"ARRRGGGGHHH!"

Bang Chan's body suddenly grows limp and Yeji slowly opens her eyes. She notices a hand reaching out and she can't help but flinch in fear. Suddenly, a soft voice says, "I won't hurt you come on out."

Yeji gets out of this weird hole she ended up in and notices this shorter girl looking at her. Her clothes were rugged and she was loaded with weapons. She had brunette hair and eyes that could kill. The girl says in her soft seductive voice, "You see that hotel?"

Yeji turns and notices the massive building only a few blocks away. She nods her head and the girl says, "When your friend wakes up, go there right away. I'll distract them for you, okay?" Yeji stares at her confused and the girl suddenly walks away before Yeji could even thank her.

Suddenly, a voice behind her says.

"Who are you? What happened to me?"
