"Seungmin?"
The figure that he thought was Seungmin was walking past his cell, stopping and looking straight at Jeongin when he spoke.
And it was actually Seungmin.
Seungmin looked a bit different. He looked way paler, his eyes looked a bit sunken in. His hair was now this really dark brown color almost black.
But you could still tell it was him.
Seungmin's eyes widened as he seemed to recognize Jeongin, a small smile forming on his face. "Oh, Jeongin! I found you."
Jeongin was speechless. Standing right there was his friend that he thought died a few weeks ago.
Jeongin could barely form words, trying to respond to Seungmin. "W-what? What are you... How...? Huh? Are you...? I thought you were-"
Seungmin chuckled. "Don't worry, I'll explain."
Seungmin walked towards the bars of the cell, reaching out to open them.
Jeongin raised an eyebrow. "I don't think those are open, the guards wo-"
Jeongin then almost immediately froze from a mixture of shock and confusion as Seungmin walked through the bars.
After a few long seconds of silence, Seungmin spoke up, a playful edge in his tone. "What's wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?"
Jeongin slowly walked over to the bars and reached out, getting even more confused as his fingertips touched the very obviously solid cold metal of the bars. "H-how... how'd you do that?"
Seungmin laughed, just staring at Jeongin with an amused look on his face.
Jeongin rubbed his eyes to see if Seungmin was just an illusion or something, but he was still there. "I have so many questions."
Seungmin raised his eyebrows, a smile still on his face. "Ask."
Jeongin ran his hands through his hair. "Well, uh... how are you even here? I thought you... I th-thought you... were d-dead..."
"I am dead."
Jeongin furrowed his eyebrows, trying to process the words of that simple yet complex sentence. "Huh?"
Seungmin chuckled. "I'm dead. You know, the opposite of alive?"
Jeongin wasn't any less confused, even after that clarification. "What? But I can see you right now... wait, are you a ghost?"
Seungmin shrugged playfully. "Well, you could say that."
Jeongin's jaw dropped. "What!? How is that even possible?"
"Not sure, but I'm here aren't I?"
"Yes, but..."
Jeongin was literally speechless. He didn't even know ghosts were real.
Jeongin went over to the hard mattress in the small cell and sat down, asking another question that formed just now. "Okay, you're dead and... and you're a ghost, b-but... w-why are you here?
Seungmin's smile seemed to falter a bit. "Well, I've actually been this way ever since I... got murdered by Felix and Jisung and I was really confused. I've been trying to look for you, but it's been kind of hard. You see there are some things that, I now know about your whole situation of waking up in a different world."
Jeongin felt his heart start to beat faster as he heard the last part of what Seungmin said. "You know something about my dilemma?"
Seungmin let out a short sigh. "Yeah. So, you must've noticed that there are strange messages that you have recie-"
