"We're dating"
As soon as the words came out of my mouth loud cheering noises filled the room.

Zodiac clapped their hands grinning widely, "I KNEW IT!"

"Since when?!"
Nia asked fist bumping me.

"Since Monday"
I said and her jaw hung open.

"And you waited this long to tell me?!"
Nia said averting her gaze from me to Miles.

Miles raised an eyebrow and she shut her mouth, I frowned, What just happened?

"I honestly have shipped it from the beginning"
Tatum grinned.

"Kids! It's Dinner time"
Mom yelled from downstairs.

"Great!"
Zodiac said happily marching towards the stairs.

"They get too excited about food"
Nia said facepalming,

"Funny coming from you"
Miles mumbled shaking his head.

I grinned grabbing his hand, "Come on"

We went downstairs, Mom smiled slyly at me and Miles.

"Okay soo I accidentally heard something, I wasn't eavesdropping I swear! But how come you didn't tell me you were dating?"
Mom said and I scratched the back of my neck.

"I mean I was going to tell you eventually"
I said and she rolled her eyes nodding.

"Don't break his heart"
She warned me and I frowned.

"I won't"
I said and she smiled.

"Good, and you, take care of him"
She told Miles and he nodded.

"Okay now eat"

"Give it back"
I whined while Miles pushed me away to look at the family album with mom,

"Awww he was a cute chubby baby"
Mom said and I groaned.

Miles grinned looking at the picture she was talking about it.

"He was so cute"
He told her and I scoffed.

"I'm still cute"
I said and he looked at me.

"No, you're not"
He said and I raised my eyebrow.

"That's not what you said yesterday whe-"
He slapped his hand on my mouth shutting me up.

"You talk too much"
He said and I licked his hand making him yeet it away.

"Ewwwwww"
He whined wiping his hand on my shirt while I laughed.

"You weren't complaining when that was in your mouth"
I whispered in his ear watching him turn a dark shade of red.

"Lauraaa"
Zodiac came in rhyming her name.

"Yes Zizi"
Don't even ask about the nickname mom just started calling them that out of nowhere.

"Where are Tatum and Nia?"
They asked flopping next to mom, they gasped looking at the picture then back at me.

"Is that baby Alec?"
They said in a baby voice and mom nodded.

"Oh my godddd"
They said looking at the pictures.

"I thought they were with you"
Mom said and Zodiac frowned,

"No, they told me they were with you"
Zodiac said and I raised an eyebrow.

"I will go look for them"
I said getting up but Miles quickly grabbed my arm,

"N- no stay! I um the cookies..yeah we need to make them remember?"
He sounded so nervous, I am confused I thought he eased up around me.

"Yeah baby I will be back quickly then we can make them, okay?"
I said kissing his forehead.

"Please Ale? Please? Let's make them now"
Something fishy is going on but I don't want to upset him.

"Okay fine"
I said and he sighed, I think it was a sigh of relief.

"I will go use the bathroom real quick tho, I won't go anywhere I promise"
I said and he looked hesitant but he nodded letting go of me.

I ruffled his hair then walked towards the bathroom, where are Nia and Tatum? Why did Miles get so nervous all of a sudden? I shrugged to myself humming a tone walking to the bathroom.

Once I finally reached the bathroom I remembered that the toilet is clogged - I groaned lazily heading towards the stairs, once I finally made it to the bathroom I opened the door and what I saw made me freeze in my place looking at the scene in front of me.

My sister was half-naked making out with my best friend.

They jumped away from each other with their eyes wide opened.

"Alec I- I can explain it's not what it looks like"
Nia said while Tatum covered herself.

I stood there with a look of disgust and disappointment on my face looking at both of them.

"Not what it looks like?"
I yelled.

"Alec please just listen"
Tatum said and I scoffed.

"You shut the fuck up you don't get to say shit here"
I spat at her.

"I'm so disappointed"
I said slamming the door again walking back downstairs.

I was furious, Nia is a heartbreaker everyone knows that literally everyone I always told her my sister is off-limits and she agreed - I trusted her but now what? She is going to break my baby sister's heart and fuck up the friendship between us. Hell, it could even affect me and Miles's relationship and I won't ever allow that to happen.

Is that why Miles was so nervous? Did he know about this? Even Miles is hiding shit from me, wow.

I grabbed the keys storming outside of the house specifically from the backdoor because I know damn well I will snap at whoever tries to talks to me.

I got in the car and drove off, I need time to think about all of this.
