After an eventful night at the Park Residence did the sun finally rise again that Saturday morning.

A new beginning to another day.

With her curtains already drawn, the summer Sun shone brightly down at her from her balcony windows.

Slowly getting up from the comfort of her bed, Sunhee now faced another day feeling empty as usual.

She noticed how her eyebags drooped tiredly through her puffy eyes in front of her bathroom mirror.

Sighing at her reflection, Sunhee could only loathe her appearance again as Yewon's words replayed annoyingly in her mind.

"You will never be beautiful Park Sunhee," the brunette muttered softly to herself before washing up.

After her brief morning routine did Sunhee finally decide to come out of her room.

However, she was only surprised by the overwhelming amount of snacks outside her room as well as the pink sticky note on her door.

As she read the note, Sunhee couldn't help but break out into a smile while also feeling guilty for misunderstanding Ni-ki.

"Ni-ki, I swear to God if I come back to a burning house you're so dead!"

"Hyung just get to work!"

"I mean it Nishimura!"

As soon as she heard the front door slam shut, Sunhee could only wonder what was Ni-ki up to.

Making her way down towards the kitchen after neatly putting away her snacks was she then greeted by the aroma of pancakes.

Correction, the aroma of burnt pancakes.

Sunhee finally witnessed the disastrous state of her kitchen as she watched Ni-ki scramble around.

"Oh shit that's a bit too much! Come on Ni-ki, make cute and small pancakes! Like her, cos she's cute and small," Ni-ki rambled loudly to himself after failing to flip one successfully.

Sunhee watched the flustered boy in amusement as he continued talking to himself, unbeknownst to him that Sunhee was standing behind the kitchen island.

"Come on Nishimura, you've succeeded at least thrice!" Ni-ki chanted as he prepared to flip the still, uncooked pancake.

"It's not ready to be flipped,"

"You're right- OH MY GOD SUNHEE!" Ni-ki shrieked before accidentally dropping his spatula.

Sunhee smiled sheepishly at her soulmate before finally walking towards the kitchen stove, where spillages and droplets of pancake batter was seen.

"So you're making pancakes?"

"I'm attempting to make pancakes," Ni-ki corrected her as he tried to cover a certain stack of pancakes behind him.

"Ni-ki?"

"Hm?"

"I've already seen the burnt stack of pancakes behind you," Sunhee giggled before snatching away the spatula from Ni-ki.

Ni-ki pouted sadly as he finally revealed the ungodly amount of burnt pancakes before quietly cleaning up the mess he made.

"Sorry for making a mess, I've only cooked pancakes once and it was with Heeseung hyung," Ni-ki muttered as he started washing the dishes.

Sunhee glanced briefly at the now embarrassed boy before internally squealing at his adorable antics.

As she quickly finished up cooking the last batch of pancakes, Sunhee couldn't help but catch the quiet sniffles made by the red-headed boy.

And it was at that moment did Sunhee realise that Ni-ki was genuinely trying to make it up to her.

From his sudden lack of stubbornness to his efforts at being a better soulmate, Sunhee could feel their bond getting stronger again.

After turning off the gas and nicely plating Ni-ki's pancakes, Sunhee walked over towards the taller boy before embracing him from behind.

"You big baby," Sunhee cooed softly as she rested her cheek against his back.

"I'm not a baby," Ni-ki responded hoarsely as he finally finished washing the dishes.

"Then you're my baby," Sunhee giggled as she turned the boy around.

Ni-ki hung his head low as he avoided Sunhee's gaze, not knowing what to do but to cry silently.

"I'm sorry Sunhee, I really am. I know sorry doesn't do much right now but trust me, I'm trying," Ni-ki spoke softly, expecting to be pushed away again.

However, Sunhee gently wiped away his tears before hugging him again, finally feeling complete now that her missing puzzle piece was back.

"You being here again is more than enough for me Ni-ki. I'm sorry for pushing you away,"
