"Keefe." Someone shook him. He didn't want to get up. His bed was so warm.

So soft...

His dreams were so...

Pleasant...

"Keefe, come on! We're going to be late if you don't get up soon."

Late? To what?

"Keefe. Wake. Up."

He flipped over hoping the person would get the message.

"Excuse me, but I will transmit what Alicorn love looks like."

He cracked his eyes open. The person in front of him was blurred. He blinked a couple of times. Sophie?

Since when did she wake him up? And why was she at his house? And dressed for school?

"Keefe, can you please get up?"

School. Foxfire.

He had to get ready.

Eh, he didn't want to though.

He wanted to sleep, or maybe just look at Sophie.

She looked beautiful in the ruby color, making her brown eyes pop.

Red was definitely her color.

"What?"

Had he said that out loud?

"Um, yeah."

Crap.

Her emotions were waking him up.

He wished they wouldn't.

Keefe finally gave in. He sat up, running his hands through his hair bed hair.

"Happy?" He looked at Sophie. She was staring at his midsection. Obviously, he had gone to bed without a shirt on.

"Done checking me out, Foster?"

She colored bright red. "Uh, I'll be downstairs. I've already eaten, so try to hurry."

He grinned at her back as she hurried away; that girl blushed at everything.

It was adorable.

Keefe stood up, stretching his legs as he walked to his closet. He grabbed the clothes and set them on his bed.

He glanced at a mirror, but his smile faded as he saw himself.

Blonde hair, messily rumpled, ice blue eyes, filled with sleep, bags under his eyes, which was normal ever since his mom.

He wished it wasn't...

Normal.

He wished he was.

But he wasn't.

He wasn't even happy.

Not all the time.

Only...

Only when he could forget about the drama with his mom, the Neverseen; that was when he was happy. Usually, it was with Sophie. That was when he could forget.

When he could feel like he belonged.

Keefe sighed again. "Get it together, Sencen."
He muttered as he got dressed and slipped the chain and tag over his neck, tucking it inside his shirt.

He bounded down the stairs after quickly rushing through his hair routine.

His hair, by the way, looked great.
