Flight 50 - Say Again

Say Again

One of the standard phrases to use, whenever possible, which should be used in radiotelephony communications, Say Again equates to "Repeat all, or the following part of your last transmission". It is different from another phraseology, "I Say Again" that means "I repeat for clarity or emphasis". However, this two phraseology correlates with one another.
Example 1:
"3446, request position."
"Tower, 5 miles inbound, 1500 feet, 3446."
"3446, say again?"
"Tower, 5 miles inbound, 1500 feet, 3446."
Example 2:
"Tower, request current altimeter setting, 3446."
"3446, current alimeter setting is 1019 hectoPascal or 30.09 inches of Mercury."
"Current altimeter setting is 1019 hectoPascal or 30.19 inches of Mercury, 3446." Or "Tower, say again, 3446?"
"3446, I say again, current altimeter setting is 1019 hectoPascal or 30.09 inches of Mercury."
"Current altimeter setting is 1019, hectoPascal or 30.09 inches of Mercury, 3446."

"We should also start talking about our marriage," sabi niya.

But then, at that point, my mind suddenly hits a very huge and thick brick wall. Mukhang nag-malfunction ang utak ko at inatake ng virus ang computer system ko for me to end up not responding.

After all, sinabi niya ng walang alinlangan na "marriage". And 'di lang basta-basta na 'yon. Dinagdag niya pa 'yong "our".

Totoo na napag-usapan na naming dalawa ang tungkol sa mga plano namin sa mga careers namin. Of course, noong una, mga individual goals pa namin iyon. By the time na naging kami, naging goals na namin pareho. It had been properly and carefully decided between us that for the next four years after our flight training's completion ay iaalalay namin para sa paglago ng sarili naming career choices. After all, right after graduation, he'll be attending UCL for his four-year course with Engineering and Architectural Design. And, ako naman, all those time, will focus in garnering more flying hours in whatever occupation will be open after training: either as a flight instructor, a general aviation pilot, or a hopeful immediate jump to the first officer seat in the airline industry.

Since magiging busy kami pareho at that time, it will be more of an individual growth that we've compromised about. Ang napag-usapan lang din naman namin until this very moment on had been where we find ourselves about five years from now with our chosen career in the aviation league. However, talks that concern another part of the future together, which is "marriage"... wala pa talaga ni isa, to be honest.

Perhaps, mayroon. Hindi naman magiging kami if wala kaming balak maging meant to be until the end. And things will not escalate one way to another, if ever hindi. After all, Xav had proven time and time again that he is very much different compared sa ex ko; and it had been all the reason that I've given my entire trust to him.

Now that he had breached the subject that I seem to dread after how much of a toxic and failed relationship I have with my ex-boyfriend... medyo nakaka-guilty na ako 'yong parang walang balak na pag-usapan ang tungkol sa kasal. Perhaps, wala pa as of now. Ngayon lang na tuluyan niyang binanggit.

Maybe, it is all because of my silence that he sighs heavily and focuses once more with his driving and says, "Or perhaps, no. Unless you have other plans."

"No!" Kaagad kong sagot. Mas lalo lang akong namula sa hiya. I swallow hard and in a small voice, add, "Medyo nabigla lamang ako ngayong nabanggit mo. But, don't get me wrong na hindi sumagi sa isipan ko ang tungkol doon. I mean, I've been way too focus in the concept of us cultivating our careers for the next few years than an immediate jump to that."
