Props Clear

May also say "Clear Prop!", "Props Clear!", is a phrase said before switching on the Master Switch and cranking the engine or a propeller in starting up by the pilot to ensure that there's no one in the area of the propeller, as well as hazards and equipment. The call-out is to let people around to be aware that one is about to start the engine and they must move out of the way so no one will get hurt.
In my experience, we said it once during 360 Pre-flight Inspection before we switch on the Master Switch to open all the lights, Avionic Switch (responsible for the radios), and lowering the flaps for checking. The next is at the start-up of the engine upon switching on the Master Switch, and then upon insertion of the key to start cranking the engine. A response of "Clear!" from a nearby mechanic is expected before proceeding on.

For the sake of fair judgment regarding sa kung sino ang mauunang mabibigyan ng schedule for the OBS flights, napagdesisyunan namin na mag-draw lots na lang about it. And since five students lang ang possible per day, it will at least take us four days bago matapos. But it doesn't necessarily mean na kailangan muna namin matapos lahat bago magsimula ng flight training.

"Hmm? "One."

I sigh heavily as I keep my hands around sa mug ko. Sagot ko, "Two."

"Oh!" He chuckles lightly. "So, ineexpect ko na mag-OBS tayo sa mga first flights sa araw na iyon. Along with Madam, ano?"

"Hmm?"

"Si Christine 'yong nakakuha ng number three. Then, si Marcus at si Nikki sa four and five."

I frown a little.

He smiles. Pero I have ears, Phoe. Of course, narinig ko."

The day after tomorrow pa ng briefing kami nabigyan ng schedule for our OBS flights and as Nikolai had predicted, kaming tatlo nga ni Christine ang nabigyan na mag-OBS for the first flights.

Siyang naka-align for the 0700 up to 1000 flight and then to the aircraft registration na gagamitin for tomorrow.

Capistrano CPL 1&2 (Capt. Ponferrada; OBS – Bonifacio).

Oh my... So mag-OBS ako sa isang newly Private Pilot License holder right back on track to begin his CPL lessons with core flying. Shocks, ano kayang maitatanong sa akin? And of course, kahit exciting ay medyo kinakabahan ako.
