Aaron's alarm rings. He hits snooze on it for the third time. He forgot to turn it off from the days that he had to wake up to go to the club. He groans and looks at his phone to turn the alarm off. The bright light shines in his face and he groans. He falls back asleep but only for 15 minutes. He's awaken by his dad shaking him awake.
"Hmmm" he mutters
"Sorry to wake you kiddo but I gotta let you know that me and your mom won't be back till late. We're going to work on things for the house." Lear says. It's become normal for him to be called dad. In the beginning it was a little strange but it rolls off the tongue now.
"Ok" Aaron groggily moans. He turns over and goes back to sleep. Lear shakes his head. He has only had kids for one summer but he has learned their characteristics and he thinks it's funny.
When Aaron finally gets up he fixes himself breakfast. It still feels weird not having to make breakfast for any of his other siblings. He would make Alex something but it would be cold by the time he wakes up. As he eats his breakfast he text Roni to see how her mornings going.

Yes. I miss seeing your face every morning
You can still see it .
Nah I'll wait til we go on our date tonight

Yep. Be ready by 6

He sprung this date on her. She has no idea that they were going on a date but she likes a good surprise. She knows that it's going to take forever for her to get ready. No matter how long she's been with Aaron, she still gets nervous and obsesses over her outfit. She's always like a little girl on her first date.
Nessa heads over to Kian's house after she wakes up. She loves to get him out of the house. He's adapting to life with siblings and having a three-month old baby to adapt to is a little hard when you're almost out of the house. None the less, he loves Malaya and wouldn't want anyone else is to be his niece. Nessa comes in with the key that she has. She makes sure not to wake Mariah up but she's not there. She and Malaya are with Luke at his house. Kian walks downstairs and kisses Nessa on the cheek.
"You got here quickly" he says.
"I couldn't wait to see you." she fixes a piece of his hair that dangled down in front of his face. She curls it around her finger and pushes it back. He grabs his keys and wraps his arm around her as he swings his lanyard on his finger. They head out to his car and he opens the door for her. She smiles and looks at him the whole drive to the mall. She can't believe that she ended up getting him. After all the years of the petty arguments and horrible relationships that she had, he took a chance on her and changed her life completely. Kian looks over at her and smiles. She's looking at him but he didn't notice it for the whole ride. They have a small conversation until they get to the mall and he spoils her with buying whatever she wants.
Alex finally wakes up later in the day. He opens his computer. The emails that he checked the night before were still open in a tab. He looks at his registration for classes. He never finished and it's due by 12. He puts it to the side. Everyone is taking senior year seriously but him. Everyone is obsessing over what would look good on their college applications. He just hopes that everything that has happened will give him a free ride to college. Time is not up so he will not stress over it until it is.
Roni finishes up getting ready and waits at the door . She managed to get ready ten minutes early so she goes through her phone and checks text and emails. She sees that Aaron texts that he's outside. He gets out the car and open her door for her.
"Thank you kind sir" she jokes
"No problem m'lady" he says back. They laugh and head down the road.
"So where are we going?" She questions.
"Well since summer is ending and our passes are getting closer to expiration, I thought it would be nice to go to Disney. I know you love the light show so that should be starting soon."
"Yay!" She smiles. They make small talk about going back to school. Both of them are beyond ready. Summer break has seemed longer than forever to them. They have been out of school for awhile due to the fact that they were shot. The idea of that night is not pushed out of their head but it's pushed behind. They're ready to move on. Graduation is calling their name and so is that scholarship money. Roni's mind has always been on going to a fashion institute. New York has always been her dream. If she can get a scholarship it would be amazing. Aaron has never really had a dream school. He never thought that he could go to college until now. Now he just wants to get into school for basketball. He wants to be drafted into the NBA. Not for the money nor the fame but for the fact that his job could be doing something that he loves everyday. Though these two have planned a lot for the future, they haven't planned the fact that these dreams may mean that they will have a long distance relationship. The idea has been thought but not brought up and again tonight the convo will not come up because they're in the parking lot and ready to enjoy date night.
