I sat at the table by myself, Remi already at preschool. I was...happy he was there.

After everything that happened a couple days ago...Ezra has gotten worse. I even begin to hear his footsteps making their way to the kitchen. When I see him enter he was nicely dressed, but he looked...comfortable if that makes sense.

He walks past the table, grabbing a plate. I see him start to cover it with food and I wondered what it was for.

It began to occur to me how much food he was really putting on it. Stacking food atop of another and it looked gross.

"Ezra what are-?"

"I've been meaning to come here, sorry for the wait." I hear Caden call out, and I felt sick to my stomach.

He walks into the kitchen, all smiles. When he saw me though his smile dropped a bit.

The both of us looked at one another for some time, but it ceased when we hear Ezra clear his throat. When we look at him he doesn't smile or anything. Just holds the plate with too much food on it.

His eyes weren't on me, but on Caden. I didn't know what he was trying to accomplish...by doing this.

"Hey, what's wrong-."

Ezra walked towards him, and stood before him quietly. His eyes settled on him in a way that made me think immediately that he knew.

"Ezra-."

I flinch when he drops the plate of food on the floor. It fell splat on his feet and he stepped back quickly. It made a mess all over the floor and I didn't get why he'd do that.

"W-why did you do that?" Caden cried, and I see Ezra raise his eyebrow.

"Clean it." He demands of him.

Caden frowned at him. He didn't really understand what was going on and I already knew he knew.

"But...you dropped it-."

"I don't care. You want to try and take my children away from me?" He questions him with a raised eyebrow. I saw Caden's eyes widen immediately and he dropped to his legs.

He starts to clean the mess instantly. Even used his fingers and was just fine touching it. It was odd to see how he was just getting his hands and nails dirty.

"Caden answer me-."

"I-I was trying to help. You k-know that he d-doesn't love you! Why...why are you letting him b-break you down?!" Caden exclaims angrily, looking up at him as he holds as much food as he could.

Ezra continued to look down at him with no emotion. It was like Caden's words didn't really hit him and he didn't care. I don't think I am breaking him down.

I think it's his past that has caught up and he's thought upon it too much. All those things he's been keeping to himself have become too much to bear. Now it's released and, of course, Caden wants to blame me.

Because since he can't help Ezra, he wants to attack me because I possibly can.

"It doesn't matter what you say. Who do you think you are? If you really cared about me, you wouldn't have tried to take my kids from me. I'm disappointed in you...you don't love me-."

"I love you!" Caden cried out in pain, and Ezra's eyes became unusually soft. "Unlike...Theo, I do love you! I was wrong, so wrong for trying to take your kids from you. I was willing to let you be broken again so that I could build you back up so that you realized...there's just me. I'm so in love with you that I want the person you love most to disappear like all those people have to you...disappear. Until you realized the only person still here, is me!"
