"does it hurt?" a child had questioned

"Why don't you scream?!" another child had asked 

"Why are you so freaky?!" another 

and another and another 

the questions continued as a group surrounded the boy they were questioning 

a boy with a raven head was simply staring at his leg, bone sticking out and blood pouring 

and yet he didn't cry, he didn't seem sad at all, even as tears ran down his face 

and instead of going for a teacher for help, they all simply stared, due to his reaction they didn't know if he was pulling a prank or if it was real 

at least before a certain blond-headed boy set off an explosion and scared the group 

"get lost all of you! he's hurt and all you do is stare?! your all horrible bullies" he shouted as he rushed to the 7-year-old raven's side, kneeling so he could carry him piggyback style 

"but he's faking it, he isn't even upset!" a child had accused 

"that's because he's really tough, unlike any of you cry baby wimps" the blond 8 years old stated as he rushed off to the nurse's office 

the nurse got to work immediately, she had to call in some professionals to make sure that they had the right equipment and made sure to call tokoyami's parents 

unfortunately, his parents did not answer, but bakugo stated that since he was close friends with the ravens family he could take him to his own home until his parents answered 

so they called bakugo's family who did pick up to tell them what had happened, although his mother offered to pick them up bakugo was determined to take tokoyami himself, saying that it wasn't far and he could push him in a wheelchair, shouting he was old enough to do it 

his mother knew as soon as her son was determined to do something, there was no way of convincing him out of it 

so when tokoyami was properly wrapped up, they allowed the two children to go home 

"you didn't have to cause a fuss bakugo" the raven stated 

"Shut up, you idiot! why didn't you call out for help, tell them you were that your leg was broken, that you were in pain?" bakugo ranted with anger 

"pain is but a sensation due to the nerves being cut, it is nothing to cause alarm for" 

"it's not that simple tokoyami! and what if I weren't there to defend you?! you could have bled out and died!" bakugo continued, fear in his voice 

"But you were, and that did not happen" 

"you're missing the point!" bakugo shouted, but like normal, the raven didn't react 

the main reason why bakugo liked spending time with the raven, he wasn't one of his fans nor was he a coward in fear of him, he didn't care of reputation or temper 

but bakugo had grown up with tokoyami, he didn't have the same reactions as others or even himself, he was factful and straight to the point 

this made him an easy target for bullying 

but not like bakugo would allow that 

ever since that day bakugo had vowed to be there to protect tokoyami from everything, bullies, mockery, discrimination 

even deadly diseases

his emotionless state was something he was born with, and for some, whatever reason made him a target for this 

tokoyami had been in a coma for a year now 

but every day without fail bakugo would wait by his side, praying and threatening for him to wake up 

the two of them were going to be heroes and bakugo would not allow for his partner to die to a stupid disease 

bakugo was tokoyami's protector, and at the same time the raven was his 

he needed tokoyami to keep a level head, to think things threw, to not let his emotions get the way of his goals 

they needed each other 

he was his yin to his yang 

and when the day came where he finally woke up 

he couldn't help but scream bloody murder with relief and joy 

"don't cause a fuss bakugo" the raven stated with no emotion at all

just like the fumikage he knew and loved

"you idiot!" bakugo simply whispered with a small smile, holding the smaller male tightly 

bakugo didn't expect the raven to suddenly have emotions all of a sudden like in those romance movies 

in fact, he was relieved 

because he loved him just like he was 

and he wouldn't change him for the world
