When the two entered Aizawa's home, the teacher couldn't decide on what to tend to first
the child's wounds? his starvation? dehydration? or his clear need for cleansing
not that it helped that he had just met this child, the only reason he even went with Aizawa was that he was desperate, and that meant true trust needed to build-up
eventually, Aizawa landed on getting the kid food and water, and with how his stomach was grumbling and his body was swaying with exhaustion it was a good call, Aizawa's home was a walk away and it was clear the child had just used up the energy to get there
Aizawa couldn't help the cautious hands wavering in the fear of the little raven face planting the floor
"I'll show you to the couch, just while I prepare us something to eat ok" Aizawa consoled as he closed the door, not keeping his eyes off the child
at the sound of the door closing the kid's quirk "darkshadow" seemed to activate, a protective defence, not that it seemed it would do much, especially how tiny the little shadow was at that moment, seemed the child's energy also deciphered how big his quirk could be
regardless Aizawa ignored the "threat" and walked in front for the child to follow him
tokoyami took a shaky breath before continuing, his limp more evident now
luckily the child made it to the sofa where Aizawa allowed the child to sit and wait for food to be prepared
Aizawa wasn't going to give the child a big portion, that would just have disastrous consequences, especially as he didn't know how long ago it was that the child had a decent meal
grabbing a glass he filled with water he then moved on to food, he would start with something basic but still filling, so reaching into his cupboards he grabbed two crackers and placed a scoop of peanut butter onto the plate so to give the child the option to dip the crackers in, only, for now, he didn't want to overload the poor kid
when he was finished he walked back into the little living room, where he sympathetically saw the little raven try to keep awake, and as much as Aizawa wanted to allow him to go into comfortable slumber, he had much to do before that could be an option
"here we are" Aizawa announced, alerting the kid of his appearance
placing the plate on the kid's lap he sat on the opposite side to make sure he ate and to keep an eye on the kid's condition if he would have any problems, for example, a sign of nausea
tokoyami merely looked to his lap to Aizawa, confusion as much as it was hard to see with the raven head was evident
"aren't you having some?" tokoyami asked
Aizawa was slightly surprised, not expecting the kid to be concerned about the elder's diet
"I've already had some so don't worry, just focus on your food all right" Aizawa explained with a shrug
tokoyami seemed a little sceptical but complied anyway
using a shaky hand he grabbed a cracker and began to nibble on the edge
looking closer Aizawa couldn't help but see the child was having a harder time eating, without the proper nutrition, gums and other soft tissue inside the mouth may bleed easily. The glands that produce saliva may swell and individuals may experience chronic dry mouth, but he wasn't drinking the water, why-
"idiot!" Aizawa grumbled to himself
slightly startling the kid Aizawa rushed back into the kitchen
grabbing a straw to help with the kids drinking, obviously, with his beak, he'd have trouble and probably didn't want to spill it on the sofa, with an unknown past he had to think of the possibility of his old home being abusive
