I will never swear to you

tokoyami couldn't take it anymore

he tried turning them out with his headphones and book

but the class was just so loud he could hear every single curse and swear that was bellowed and sung

at the moment they were playing out such a distasteful song that practically had all the dictionary of swear words

it was making him sick, and his ears were hurting with how badly he tried to ignore their voices

he tried ignoring it as usual but as his body shook in fear he knew he had to request for it to cease before he had a full meltdown

placing his book down and headphones down he walked from his room and downstairs

yes it was so loud he could hear it from upstairs

as he walked downstairs saw a split of those applauding and those who were covering their ears just like tokoyami

"Bakugo would you please refrain from using vulgar language" Tokoyami stated as he reached the bottom of the stairs

causing all his classmates to observe their distressed classmate

"oh don't act like such fxxing princess, we've all sworn at once" Bakugo stated back with an annoyed glance

"still does not mean that you must use it daily" Tokoyami continued as his body shivered at the curse

"you know actually, I've heard everyone swear, hell even midoriya, but I've never heard you say one swear word" Jiro pointed, taking a pause from her soda

"didn't he say basterds once?" Kaminari questioned

the raven ducked a little but it seemed to go unnoticed by the others

"no, the only thing he ever said was fiend, how you mistook that for the B-word I'll never know ?" Bakugo groaned with a shake of his head

"wouldn't surprise me, with all those explosions going on, I'm surprised you're not deaf" Kirishima laughed to which bakugo responded with a "fuxx of"

"eh eh, we're getting off-topic here," Sero said with a wag of his finger

"yeah, so come on tokobro, one little fuxx," Mina said as she went to the raven, she began the poking of his cheek which resorted Tokoyami to fold his arms and close his eyes, trying to keep his breathing normal

"no" the raven declared

"Please," hagukura said with a sweet tone

"I said no, leave me be" Tokoyami declared as he went to leave, thinking it would have been better to just stay in bed, only for his arm to be pulled back by a smirking bakugo

"what's wrong, it's just a word

tokoyami squirmed in the hold but the blond always had to take it too far

"look it's easy, you fuxxing bi-" The blond continued before he felt a shadowy claw against his jaw and give him an uppercut, resulting in him landing on his bottom

staring at a shaking raven with tears welling in his eyes, his entire body in a protective barrier that was black ankh

"no, it's not! a series of words that can both destroy a persons confidence and self-worth!" Tokoyami began to yell

before the others could get a word in edgewise, the raven continued to yell

"How would you feel being called a female dog ?! or a person born of unmarried parents, to treat you with such little dignity that you're viewed as worthless and a waste of space?!" he questioned as the room got darker and darker

"to be told you of your little value every single day as your father chucks his empty bottle of booze at your head, calling you the name of a males genitalia every time you dogged?!"

"tokoyami" the students tried but to their dismay, he still had one final sentence to say

"I will never tell anyone to say one word of such filth as no one should be seen as such, I'm important! so stop telling me to go away!! please stop hitting me! I'm sorry dad, I'm sorry!" Tokoyami yelled before slumping to the floor and begging for forgiveness

the class watched in horror as their friend had a dreadfully painfilled and personal memory

Asui was the first to comfort her friend as she wrapped him in a gentle hug, allowing him to soak his tears into her shoulder

"it's ok, you're safe here, no ones going to harm you, we assure you" Shoji calmly said as he joined his froggy friend in comforting their resident raven, placing a gentle hand on

the rest of the class soon joined, all calming him down with their soothing tones

"I'll stop swearing bird brain, just stop crying alright" Bakugo soothed as best he could

and he was not the only one to promise

from that day they all ensured to reduce the swearing

especially bakugo, for when he wished to let out a cuss word, he would double-check if tokoyami were in the room before popping one out

and if it seemed as though someone were to swear in the bird's presence, you can assure that at least one of his friends shut them up quickly

tokoyami wasn't oblivious to their effort, to which he appreciated and he couldn't lie that he didn't like that the swearing dropped its percentage to practically to 0% and it made him happy that he had such understanding friends, and to see Bakugo hold his tongue if he were in the same room with him, it showed that he wasn't just an extra to him anymore, but a true compatriot
