Winter was here once again

the bitter coldness of the season swarming the grounds and taking no prisoners

it seemed that the weather got worse and worse every passing day

so much Asui was sent home to wait the cold season out with her family

the other 1-A class staying at school to finish just before the holidays

only Asui wasn't the only one to be affected

Tokoyami would have also gone home if it were not for the fact his parents were visiting family members in Africa

and thus the bird had to stay put and wait for them to come back

but his classmates soon noticed a change in the raven

he no longer slipped into his dramatic poetry and phrases and always brought his favourite fluffy blanket to class to keep warm

Aizawa allowed this knowledge of his situation, and he didn't seem to be in the position to say no as he was wearing a bright yellow sleeping bag, it was a little hypocritical

but tokoyami didn't stop at just 1

the class slowly watched as the jet black hero acquired more and more black fluffy blankets that were slowly looking like a misshapen large fluffy coat

the class ensured to keep quiet at the sight, not wanting to upset their friend, but the sight of him wandering the corridors with a massive pile of blankets

he looked like an elderly diva

it was hilarious and adorable

but then it came to the point where he didn't show up for class

Aizawa being a tiny bit worried asked for someone to go and see where he could be

Shoji being the first to stand up was picked to go find the bird

Shoji immediately went to his bedroom,

and being silent he caught the small noises of light snoring

using the emergency key the raven gave to the multi-armed boy he quietly opened the door

the first thing to hit him was the feeling and smell of warmth of the room, it was an odd combo

but what was odder was what he saw within the room

it seemed that the bird boy had gathered many more fluffy and weighted blankets to make himself a fuzzy little nest on his bed

and within the nest was a tired little bird sleeping soundly,

Shoji, being the biggest softie he is, doesn't have the heart to move or wake him

so instead when he went back to the lesson he said to Aizawa that he would explain tokoyami's absence at the end of class so as not to embarrass the raven

and when that time came he was surprised Aizawa was so calm and understanding of the situation

telling shoji to let him rest till dinner and would come with a better solution to this predicament so he wouldn't sleep in again

the solution simply being Aizawa giving an orb of warmth that he could wear in the winter like a necklace

that way he could stay warm and awake without lugging many amounts of blankets around with him

not that he could as Shoji ended up taking half the blankets to his dorm

however, that didn't stop tokoyami from trying to get them back

yes it was a way of keeping warm but the real reason was that he loved how soft the blankets were

not that he would ever tell anyone

although Shoji could figure that out himself
