"Okay, who here hasn't been to space?" Rocket asked, and I smiled softly as Nat, Steve, and Rhodey raised their hands.

"I have." I whispered to myself, thinking about the time I spent with Tony and Nebula.

I hated space.

The trust was, it always slightly scared me, but it was still fascinating nonetheless.

After getting stranded, staring into the vast, neverending void of stars and darkness while my body slowly gave up on me, I had no desire to come back.

"Why?" Rhodey asked Rocket, who just looked back at him.

"You guys better not throw up on my ship."

"Why would we throw up?" Steve asked, and I shrugged.

"I have no idea."

"Approaching jump in three, two, one." Nebula announced, and as soon as she fished counting down, the ship jumped forward into a wormhole.

"Maybe that's why." I said, grabbing onto my seat, and in my peripheral vision, I noticed Steve hold onto his seat for dear life.

Poor guy.

I grabbed his hand, feeling like both of us needed the support, and we shared the same look.

Scared.

Eventually, the ship slowed down, and it hovered in the orbit of the planet we were shown in the hologram.

The planet Nebula said Thanos was.

Carol exited the Benatar, floating just outside the front window.

"I'll head down for recon." She said, and we watched her fly down to the planet, making me sigh.

I won't lie, I'm not a huge Danvers fan.

I turned to look at the others, feeling awfully nervous for the impending confrontation, and I could tell they were too.

"It's going to be fine." I said to no one in particular, yet Steve seemed unconvinced.

"This is gonna work, Steve." Nat tried to reassure him, and Steve nodded slightly at her.

"I know it will." He responded, much to my surprise, and he held open a compass with a photo of Peggy Carter inside.

He's still not over her, I see.

"Because I don't know what I'm going to do if it doesn't."

I looked down at the planet, squeezing Steve's hand slightly before letting go.

"Hey, she's beautiful, you know." I said, referring to Peggy, and Steve smiled at me.

"She was, yeah."
