Phoenix Haynes

We walked inside our new hotel, and I gasped in surprise.

Fury really pulled out all the stops to make us happy.

The reception area of the hotel had a man playing the grand piano, and I knew this place was fancy as hell.

"Wow, this place is so classy!" Betty exclaimed, and Flash looked satisfied, getting his phone out to livestream, yet again.

"I'm home."

"What can I say? The squeaky wheel gets the upgrade grease." Mr Harrington said, turning to look at the whole class.

"Alright everyone get settled in and rest up because tonight, big surprise, is Prague's annual carnival of lights!"

"Oh my god!" I exclaimed, feeling genuinely excited.

Hopefully Peter and I get to go.

My phone started ringing, and I picked up, discreetly moving away from the group.

"Hello?"

"Haynes, it's Hill." Maria said, and I gestured for Peter to come over to me, which he did.

"Is Parker with you?"

"Yes ma'am." He responded, and she immediately cut to the chase.

"There's an earpiece with your new suit, and an extra one for Phoenix." Maria said, making me sigh.

"Put in on and await further instructions, understood?"

"Yes, ma'am." Peter said again, and I snorted.

He's so respectful.

"Yeah." I said, and Maria hung up without responding.

"There goes the carnival of lights." I sighed, and Ned rushed over to us.

"Hey guys, I am so sorry if I seem preoccupied with my relationship. You know, I'm still your guy in the chair." He said, making me laugh.

"Don't sweat it, Ned."

"No, it's all good. Don't worry about it." Peter smiled, and Ned seemed more relaxed, knowing we weren't mad at him.

"Okay, great, great."

"It's fine." I said, and Ned clapped his hands together.

"So, what's the status on the whole Elemental thing? Where's it going to happen?"

"Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news." I said, and Peter looked annoyed.

"Here in the city."

"Here? Guys, we're here." Ned said, suddenly seeming stressed, and I nodded.

"Yeah, it's not very ideal."

"I know, I know." Peter said, crossing his arms over his chest.

"It's not good, but we're figuring it out."

"You have to do something guys, please." Ned whispered, looking between us.

"We're all counting on you."

"That's the stressful part." I said, and Betty looked over at us.

"Ned!"
