BAXTER
Jamison said something but my selective hearing just tuned him out as I waited impatiently. As the door slowly opened I caught a glimpse of a familiar white wolf. To excited to wait I darted out of the door ignoring my name being called behind me.
"Kratos!" I yelled loudly causing the large animal to turn towards me. With a large smile I threw myself at the wolf, my weight not even enough to make him budge. "Hello!"
"Who is that?" A voice said behind me making me freeze.
"And how is he doing that?" Another voice questioned. I tensed up as my body began to shake, Kratos noticed immediately and let out a growl, moving his body closer to mine. The new voices went silent noticing the shift in the wolf mood.
"Baxter! You can't run off like that." Jamison said lightly as he stopped next to me. He slowly crouched down with a small frown. "You don't know your way around here yet and don't know the people so I don't like you running off alone yet."
"Sorry." I mumbled lightly as I buried my face in the wolf's fur. Jamison looked behind me and gave the people a polite hello.
"Now come here little one." He said in a light voice and opened his arms. I quickly climbed into the welcoming arms and wrapped myself around the large male, my body still tense with the new people behind me. He easily stood with me and faced a handful of people. "I want you to meet a couple of the people who live here, two of which go to school with you."
"Okay." I grumbled back reluctantly. If U went to school with them they probably know me already, my body tensing more with the thought.
"This is Jason, Reid, Sarah, Lux, and Tabitha. Lux and Tabitha are the two that go to school with you." Jamison introduced them as he gestured towards the person he was taking about. I recognized both of them immediately, neither of which have given me any trouble making my body relax automatically. The male had actually stood up for me last year, though I haven't seen much of him this year. Lux stood at least 6 foot tall with black hair, grey eyes, sun-kissed skin, and had the body of you're a-typical movie football jock. Tabitha stood about 5 foot 6, pale in color with freckles dusting her cheeks, natural flaming red hair and lightly green eyes. "Lux is actually the cousin I was talking to you about."
"Hello Baxter, long time no see." The male said lightly while giving me a small wave.
"Hi everyone." I mumbled back, clinging to Jamison tightly. He gave me a proud smile and a small pat on the thigh he held me up by.
"Okay guys, I'm going to finish showing this little one around. We will catch up later!" He said and I blushed but gave them a small wave as he turned around. The five all waved back and let put a collective goodbye with large smiles.
-TIME SKIP-
I felt exhausted as Jamison and I walked towards the huge house. It had taken over 2 hours to tour the large land, he showed me the day care, gym, running tracks, pool, and more. Like how can a younger man like Jamison afford property so large and pay all the bills. My head hurt thinking about it. I let put a sigh and leaned against the large man earning myself a chuckle.
"Do you want to take a nap sweetie?" He asked as he wrapped his arm around me. I shook my head with a small pout and cuddled into his side more as we walked. "Then how about we watch a movie?"
"Ooo! Yes please!" I said happily as we walked into the front door.
"I know you uncomfortable with new people, so would you prefer to watch the movie in the home theater or up in the apartment?" He asked lightly pausing in the walkway. I chewed on my lip as I thought, I knew, as Jamison put it, I'm uncomfortable with new people but if I was going to live here I needed to get used to these people. I couldn't just depend on Jamison constantly.
"Ummm, the theater room would be nice." I mumbled earning myself a soft proud smile from the taller man. I watched him as we started to move, he naturally took care of me and seemed to always be happy. I mean this man took me in with no reason to and just brushed it off like it was nothing. He said hello to every person with a smile, obviously close to all his residents and they seemed to respect him back. How can he be so perfect?
"Penny for your thoughts?" Jamison said, looking down at me. I blushed and glance away making him chuckle. "That's okay, I will figure it out one day." His words made me blush deeper but I couldn't help but glance up as he moved away. He was beginning to make popcorn and grab candy for the movie. How long have we been in the theater room.
"What movie will we be watching?" I asked as I took the popcorn as we moved toward the seats.
"How about Oliver and Company?" He asked looking away with a faint blush.
"Really?! That's my favorite!" I said happily then paused. I knew if I watched it I knew I'd struggle to stay in the right mentality. "Umm you sure you want to watch something so childish?"
"Yep. Its a childhood favorite." He replied with a smirk. "Don't even try to change it, I saw how happy you got when I mentioned it. You deserve to be happy." His voice told me not to argue. I let out a little huff but my chest swelled with happiness and warmth. I looked around the empty theater, there was multiple love seats, couches, arm chairs, and bean bag chairs.
Jamison pulled me to a love seat and helped me get situated before moving away again. He grabbed a xbox controller and a blanket before plopping down next to me, raising his arm making his side open for cuddles. I giggled and quickly curled into his side, resting my head on his pectoral. Oliver and Company began playing making my hum in happiness as my focus turned to the screen.
As each song played I couldn't help but sing along happily. Jamison seemed to be watching me more than the movie but I didn't mind, I actually loved the attention. I could feel myself slipping, I fought like hell, but when he pressed a soft kiss on my head, I was a goner.
(A/N) Hey guys, I'm sooo sorry for the wait. I planned on updating as soon as I pulled in. The internet on the island I was on had been HORRIBLE. I will never complain about slow internet again. I mean someone sent me a 20 second snapchat and it literally took 3 days for it to load. I tried typing out my chapters and wattpad with that internet did not watch to cooperate. Now that I'm on the main land and back home with my laptop it took 20 minutes to type this chapter out. I had to restart from scratch because none of what I typed out on the island saved do to the crappy interent. So if all goes as planned chapters 17-20 will be up today.
