the next say, as expected, y/n attended the school with a slight dark circle eyebags under her eyes due to her lack of sleep. she definitely do not have the mood today but at least taehyun was being a generous to cook something for breakfast and she was thankful that she didn't go to school starving.

she was sitting mindlessly on her seat while waiting for the teacher to come when all of a sudden, taehyun appeared right next to her, making her to flinch a bit and accidentally hit the desk. the next thing she knows, everyone eyes were on her.

" sorry.." she flashed her classmate an apologetic smile before glaring at the boy next to her who's just smiling cheekily.

" what are you doing here?" she said between her gritted teeth, not wanting anyone to see her actually talking to taehyun because then again, they're going to say that she's crazy for talking alone.

" no reason. just want to know how it feels to have a seatmate" he giggled while flashing his charming smile resulting the girl to look away in instant, hiding her now red tinted cheeks. just why the fuck he has to be so good looking?

before y/n can even reply further more, the door slided opened, revealing the teacher, indicating the lessons has started. y/n lets out a tired groan, her brain wasn't ready enough to process any lessons at all now.

" y/n." she fluttered her eyelids open when she heard his voice calling for her. it's recess and instead of going to the cafeteria, she decided to take a quick nap instead, hoping that she can catch up with some sleeps.

" hm? i'm sleepy." she mumbled before shutting her eyes close again, making taehyun scoffed in response.

" i thought you want me to tell you what happened yesterday night." and y/n doesn't need to be told twice, she immediately fluttered her eyes open again before sitting up now facing the boy with her wide eyes. excited to know what happened last night and why did the boy cry because hell, she's been thinking about that for the rest of yesterday night.

" what what?"

" hm? I thought you're sleepy?" he teasingly said before putting his crossed arms on his chest.

" well, sleep can wait i guess? now, tell me!" she demanded before leaning closer to the boy, wanting to listen better to whatever the boy wants to say.

taehyun took a deep breath before locking his eyes with y/n, slowly opening his mouth to speak the things that keeps occupying his mind, " ok so.."

Taehyun's shaky hands grabbed the brown diary out of curiousity. so, without wasting any time, he flipped the diary opened, revealing Mr. Jung's neat handwriting all over it. he decided to read it in process of gaining clues again.

who knows every answers that what he's been searching could be here? he flipped to certain pages and started to read one by one.

Its Shin Hye's birthday and i'm so happy to celebrate the special day with her and my best friends. The Kangs suggested that we should go drink together this night. I can't wait to give her my present !

I fucking regret it. Its all their fault. Now i lost her. I hate them. I hate them. I hate them. Never in my life i'm going to let you guys live happily while i'm here suffering.

He flipped the pages again but for much for his own suprise, its all blank pages, not written a single world. nonetheless, he still flipped the pages aggressively until his eyes caught a certain pages and based on it dates, it was written today.

8th July 2021

Today is Shin Hye's birthday and memories from years ago still fresh in mind. Don't worry, i won't let them be happy. The deserve what they did years ago. If i can kill their son, i can kill them too. Soon, get ready to meet your son.

Taehyun's eyes enlarged as he reads the page that somehow sent shivers down his spine. he swallowed the thick lump of salive down his throat, his heart started to beat faster than before. It can't be denied anymore, Mr. Jung really was the one who kill him. but thats not the problem right now. the problem is, Mr. Jung is planning to kill his parents soon and he can't let that happen. not when he's around.

He knows he needs to do something but what can he possibly do? he's still a ghost and he also has his own limits. he should warn his parents about this but how? how can he warn his parents about this if they can't see him?

suddenly his mind clicked when a certain someone came across his mind. y/n. so, without wasting anymore time, he immediately ripped the page from the diary before folding it and inserted it into his back pocket.

every way back to the apartment seem eternity for Taehyun. He can't get off everything happened just now out from his mind. he don't even realized that a single tear already flowing down his cheeks, followed by more and more tears.

He only realized it when his sight's getting blurry and thats when he cant hold it back anymore and completely breaking down at the dark hallway. His loud sniffles and sobs followed by his hiccups echoed through the dark hallway but it wasnt his concern because he also know that no one see nor hear him at the moment.
