" mom, dad. me and taehyun really want to know why Mr. Jung hates you guys so much. why did he say that you killed Mrs. Jung? what actually happened?" y/n bravely asked.

they all sat in the living room together with y/n sitting across from the couple and taehyun sitting next to her but of course both of his parents can't see him.

they does not answer it immediately but keep exchanging glance instead. the atmosphere was completely silent as no one's uttering a word. y/n lets out a deep sigh, understand that this topic is sensitive.

nonetheless, she needs to know so that she can decide to who can she put the blame on. did taehyun's parents really kill her like how Mr Jung accused them?

" Its..a long story though..." Mrs Kang mustered all her courage to answer the question, looking down on her laps.

" It's okay. we have all day." she speaks softly, encouraging the couple. sometimes glancing at taehyun who seems to be so determined to know too.

" Its..was our fault." Mr Kang started, making taehyun and y/n even more confuse than before. but they don't want to make any assumption before listening to the whole story first.

" It was midnight, on Shin Hye's birthday. we all know it was already late but we insist on drinking that night. we drank a lot and we're literally wasted." Mrs. Kang speaks, her voice started to crack a bit resulting her to stop herself from telling further more.

" we were drunk yet i insist of driving. Jung said that i shouldn't since we are all drunk but, i wasn't in the right state of mind that day, keep assuring that i'm sober and that i can drive." Mr Kang continued, not even bothering to look at y/n.

" and it was dark, my eyes lost it sight and everything turned blurry. I didn't even notice that a car was coming across and the last thing i remember, i woke up on the hospital bed."

" we were all injured badly. i kinda sprained my ankle. we had lots of cuts and wound everywhere. even Jung broke his left arm but Shin Hye....she.." Mrs Kang paused herself from talking any further, fighting the urge to cry right at the moment.

" she didn't make it...?" y/n frowned when the couple didn't answer but nodded their heads, confirming it. tears prickling at the corner of their eyes, threatening to fall at any moment now.

" it was all my fault. if..if only i'm not being stubborm, all this things won't happened." Mr. Kang slightly raised his voice a bit.

" no, its our fault. we...we shouldn't even suggest to drink at the midnight. all this time, we thought that Jung already forgive us but turned out, he's been holding a huge grudge towards us."

right at that moment, the couple completely bursted into tears of regrets.

y/n wasn't even moving an inch. she don't know what to do. she keeps glancing at Taehyun who's mouth wide opened, trying to process all the words that came out from their mouths.

" It- its wasn't your fault! you wasn't in the right state of mind. and neither did you know that all these things would happen." y/n scooted closer to the couple, trying to assure them that it wasn't completely their fault.

" It is! i was being stubborn. and look what happened now! taehyun doesn't deserve all of these. he did nothing and but he's the one getting the pain." the cries of those two grow even more louder.

y/n was still suprised, shifting her gaze to taehyun who's now frozing as crystal clear tears were now visible at the corner of his eyes.
" tell them its okay. tell them i'm fine." taehyun mouthed and fortunately y/n's quick enough to catch the words.
