" i remember everything, by the way." taehyun lowly mumbled while staring down at the intertwined hands, still can't believe that he's now able to call the girl infront of him as his.

" you..remember?" she asked, worrying because she knows that whatever it is, its must be terrifying.

" yeah...its...terrifying." just as expected. he looked up, eyes meeting her sparkling one.

" it's okay, i'm here anyway." she pulled him into a warm hug, whispering some sweet words towards him while her palm keep rubbing his back in circles, attempting to calm him down at least a bit.

" oh and i found my soulmate already." he said when they both pulled away from the hug with a wide smile tugged into his lips, staring deeply into y/n's lustrous eyes.

y/n returned with the same sweet smile, heart palpitaling in animalistic pace as different shades of red tinted brightly on her cheeks.
" how do you even know if i'm your soulmate?"

" i didn't tell you?" he tilted his head slightly, making y/n raised her eyebrows in confusion.

" what?"

" the moment i kissed my soulmates, there will be a purple mark on my wrist. meaning, i accomplished my mission and i can be a human again but in one condition, i need to wait until my time end. therefore, i can't do anything that can failed my mission."

he said all smiley before rolling up his sleeves a little, showing her the visible purple mark on his wrist.

" y-you didn't kill anyone, don't you?" her voice came out unexpectedly a bit shaky, frightened at the thought of taehyun killing any human and end up failing his mission.

" nope, i don't think so. it's not enough to kill them." he softly smiled, not wanting for her to worry even more.

" how many days left?" her asked, ignoring how her heart keeps beating oddly. she's anxious all of a sudden and she don't even know why.

" a week. just a week." he lowly muttered but audible enough for y/n to hear it. their smile earlier instantly turned into a frown.

" i-its okay! lets spend the rest of the week together for the last time." she grabbed his hand tighter, afraid to let go.

" okay then, lets spend the rest time together." he forced back a smile, staring into her beautiful features.

" you..we will stay together even after you be a human, right?" y/n don't know the reason, but she feels unsure asking that.

silence. taehyun sealed his lips shut, not uttering a word. afraid that if he lets out a word, he'll only end up hurting her again.

" t-taehyun.." her voice cracked as her face turned pale, not used to the sudden silence. feeling uneasy.

" i..i dont know.." he finally said, voice came out shaky. he don't know how should he explains it. every words are just too painful for him to let out.

" t-taehyun..why? i thought you said you love me?" her eyes started to get teary, shining as the moonlight that slipping through the window illuminating most part of her face.

" thats the problem y/n.. i love you. so much. but.."

" b-but what?!" some of her neck veins can clearly be seen as she raised her voice, fighting back the urge to cry. she knows there's something that he hides. she trust him, refuse to believe that he just want to purposely ditch her. after all, their love for each other only getting stronger.

" but once i become a human again, memories of me when i was a ghost will be erased." he finally let out and this time he didn't even try to hide the tears that flowing down nonstop. It was painful. too painful.

and that's enough to shatter her heart into pieces, feeling lifeless all of a sudden. It breaks her and she hates it. just when they are finally living their happy life, the universe always come in between, destroying their happiness that they built together. was all the love that she poured will just go wasted?

" i'm sorry.." his muttered, this time sound so fragile. afraid of breaking her heart.

" is theres no any other ways for you to get your memories back?" she bit her lower lips, trying to get rid of her cries. she had enough.

" i don't know and i don't think so..."

y/n stared down on her laps, her hot crystal clear that keep streaming down nonstop but this time she didn't even try to wipe it off.  they were happy seconds ago but why? why things like this happened? why is universe never on her side?

" i'm sorry...that..at the end you'll be the one to suffer. I- i really don't deserve to be a human again.." he managed to said between the muffled sobs, trying his best to form a complete sentences although he's having the big urge to completely breaking down right now.

" dont." she sternly said, cupping the boy's face with her palms before stroking his cheeks gently with her thumbs, trying to get rid of the tears.

" don't you ever think like that. you deserve it taehyun. after everything you've been through all this time."

" b-but.."

" its okay..as long as you can be a human again. i'm fine. if we're really destined together, we'll meet again eventually." she attached their forehead together as the atmosphere turned into a hot crying session. only muffled sobs and sniffles filling the ward room accompanied with not so audible clock tickles that counting every seconds passed.

" i love you, "

he came closer and connected their lips together, getting the taste of each other hot tears that keep flowing down their cheeks incessantly. It was full on loves, her hands cluching on his chest tightly, afraid to let go. they don't want to let go, wishing for time to stop so that they can living their happy life together without giving a single care about the universe anymore.

what will happen after this? after all that they have gone through, will their loves strong enough to keep them tied together? what if they are not even destined in the first place?
